Help! Corrupt Memory!?
« on: December 18, 2008, 02:45:29 pm »
for the past 2 days i been getting a "corrupt memory" warning, and am getting kicked from games... Corrupt Memory 16 / 23 / 26 / 32, depending on which one soldat seems to assign me... what is this problem and how do i fix it?

Also, during the first day of corrupt memory, i ran a virus scan and it cleared out some viruses, then i didn't have the problem, but now i get the message again... i guess its not a virus - related issue...

Are you running anything in the background while you play?

nope, nothing, not even instant messenger or winamp

but i am scanning again, and finding the same trojans again... i think one of my removable drives (mp3 or external hd) are infected, and they re-infected me when i connected them - i'll keep updates on whats goin on

Yeah, if it's something wacked, just uninstall, delete your soldat folder, restart, install again, then try playing.
There are other worlds than these

When you did the scans, where did it say the viruses were?  if it's on your MP3 player or external HD like you said, just disconnect them.  that or look into your virus problem first (recommended)

Player since late 2007

i don't have virus' anymore... i scanned and they're gone... scanned mp3player - its clean... everything has been scannned and re-scanned and spyware scanned and virus scanned... from top to bottom... some other guy in the forums seems to be having the same problem... and he has no virus' either
also, my external and mp3 player are rarely connected to my cpu anyway... since the begining of the problems i haven't used either

I read your other thread.

Have you tried uninstalling (not deactivating) your anti-virus software?
