z0mG I too hope it does not get removed, because its probably the funniest thing i've seen in soldat, always cracks me up. Don't exactly know how to initiate, but when it happens ill just fly around with a smile on my face until some cruel little man kills me.... oh happy times.

Anyway, the crouch bug, no matter how much you exploit it to help you, will always screw you over at the end of the day. You never know when its gonna hit you...and if you do, well, it can still screw up on you.

Yes, obviously it is bad, competitively talking. But in pubs its funny to distract enemys. When it happens i sometimes float around when i know my teammate has the enemy flag. Then when i see him going past, I float behind him towards the enemy base, because its very probable that ffc chasers start to shoot me instead of going after the ffc, after all a crouchfloater is easy prey. That buys time for my team to cap. Sometimes I just float around avoiding the enemy and giving info to my team.

about the charging... it's a god damn shareware, it doesn't affect the games fairness.

Not really. There are a few occasions where this same annoying/fun bug actually saved my life and for Blue-Ninja, he uses it as a way to grab the flag and float back to base. Pretty effective if you're going downhill, since the crouchbug moves fastest in a diagonal (downward) direction (horizontal movement, whether forward or backwards, depends on how you initiated the bug).

I actually want the crouchbug removed too, and turn it into an actual feature rather than a bug. So like, you can use a command such as /crouchbug and it would do the same animation, and it would never happen as a bug like it is now.

I hate the fact that this feature affects gameplay randomly in a generally negative manner. It is fun, yes, but it is a bug, and should either be removed/fixed completely, or be changed into a special command like /mercy.

Adding a /crouchbug command would eliminate all the fun the people have who get it randomly and to them who know-how to get it (Hurreyy, i know..) I really like this "bug". It's fun, but it really happens rarely, so why making this to a command? That would be lolz.. All flying around crouching, ohh, i just would ay lmao, soldat is fucked up now!
And yes it's a bug, but i won't see it that much as a bug because it happens so rarely, and it doesnt affect the gameplay, the one time a guy gets this awesome bug is maximum one minute because all nemys going to kill you when they see you, or they begin "votekick: lol haxor! f12"ing you..

That happened to me recently for the first time. Suddenly the bug posessed me, i thought what the hell and tried to cap, then got kicked "omg haxxor f12 plz" or some stupid reason like that. Shame cause it was a good game and i was pretty much leading. Makes one think though, must be bad players who cant handle a crouchfloater with guns and need to resort to kicking. For the record i never hax.

Well when in a competitive game...Say a CW, if someone gets a crouchbug he could simply ask for a pause, and instead of taking up letting the clock run on, re-join the game while it's paused to get out of the bug. (Screw your KD ratio....)

It's a well-known glitch.

You can just press the lie down button and get back up to fix it instead of killing yourself.

Some people know how to initiate the glitch when they want and can use it to their advantage.

It's an extremely well-known fun glitch, known as the "Crouch Bug".

This happens when your Soldat rolls or backflips at a certain timing (or always happening with buggy animations due to certain modded weapon stats). If you roll forward, you move forward in this state. If you were rolling backwards or backflipping, you'll move in the opposite direction.

You can get out of this state by simply proning (the action that makes you lay down horizontally), or pressing 'X'.
