Add Exceptions to BattlEye
« on: January 13, 2009, 05:47:32 am »
Is it possible to add exceptions to BE? I mean there are good third party programs for soldat ( I'm talking about Chozza ( sorry about the name, I'm not sure if it's correct.) ChatMod and other applications you cannot run because of BE. ) Only administrators or/ and some who can be trust, can add exceptions. The exceptions list will be updated every time  BE updates itself.

For and example: If BattlEye detects Fraps.exe running then it doesn't kick you from the server. But if it recognizes some hacking program. Then it will do it's job.

So? Can it be done?

For reasons of impersonation (as in, just rename your hack to Fraps.exe), no.

If it was possible to do it without leaving a massive loophole in BE, then I'm sure $able would have done it.

No, its really illogical to do such a thing. Cbf explaining, but basically what SpiltCoffee said plus hacking the exception list would be extremely easy, thus allowing for more undetectable BE cheats.
