If you're thinking about Hollywood in the movie "Predator" and Blain, the actor was wearing a whole load of protective equipment, had a small battery hidden in his pants, and fired blanks.

This alone should have made the game unrealistic enough. What the hell, we've got little pixellated guys that are buffer than Schwarzenegger JETTING around with these guns

maybe there are two invisible ppl who carry the bullets and the batteries O.o

10. A human can't backflip while in mid-air unless he can really produce that insane amount of force to slow down his fall or even lift yourself in mid-air. He'd need jets, but as said, soldiers don't have jet boots.

Alright, my mistake, anti-material, not anti-tank. The reason why I said "Anti-tank" was because I believed that its bullet is strong enough to snipe through tank armor or anything lighter, and aimed well, can disable the vehicle by shooting off the pilot or the engine.

Anyway, games are meant to be unrealistic, though sometimes having a bit of realism is healthy.

That's exactly what they're used for, but not ONLY what they're used for, so you're not wrong at all. They are used along with Thermal Goggles and other high tech gear to shoot people from about 1 Mile off, through walls and what-not. Very powerful. In WWII Anti-MAterial Rifles were used very commonly, and they were only used to take down tanks, that's where teh Barrett came in, a newer version of teh old anti-tank rifle. But THanks to politics and world trade, we don't see much tank combat, and the use lowered, but then they decided to shoot through walls.

And it should be able to penetrate and kill you EVEN if you have a bulletproof vest! Plus, it's recoil is so great that if you tried firing it standing or in mid-air, you'd probably be blasted backwards yourself.

Oh, that's why my enemies heads always fall all over the map.

Anyway even if Soldat isn't real life there's no reason for it not to get as close as possible. That's what the 'realistic' option is for.

Actually you can carry a Minigun, there's a stand and harness you have to wear though.

If you want to fire a minigun you'd definitely need that stand like the M2 Browning Stat Gun (turret). Carrying, you can, but it's really heavy.

 Hey guess what? Soldat is still clinging to the possibility of being real. The topic that STM1993 started is to show how unrealistic soldat is. Good job looking up the facts .

 I am lost right now, though. You made this topic to show everyone why we should stop posting ideas to make Soldat more realistic?

    WHY 

 I think the idea is to get to at least a better game, and to some people that's more realism. You're not going to stop the ideas from coming by posting this staggering amount of information. Quit trying to control other people! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and granted you can argue that their opinion is wrong, and that yours is right, but the thing about opinions is that none of them are RIGHT OR WRONG!!!

 Guess what everybody? Soldat developers did not want to make a completely fake game. They put real life weapons into the game (with the exception of clusters). There are no kitten cannons, laser guns, lightsabers, or F@^King Spaceships! Does that mean we can't have those things in the game? NO!!! Soldat is nearly 100% MODDABLE!

 So if someone wants to put a lightsaber in replace of a chainsaw, do it. If someone wants to change the Steyr Aug to being a more accurately timed rof, do it. If someone wants to change the Barret so that it is semi-automatic, let them do it!

Limited ammo is one popular demand when it comes to further realism for Soldat. Honestly, I think it'd be nice to see more options for the Realistic game, but I'm just sick of those trying to turn NORMAL into REALISTIC.

^ You obviously haven't read this.

I was pretty pissed too when I typed this thread. Now I'm not pissed at all. I don't mind suggestions on being realistic, I encourage it in fact, I just don't like to see how people want to change the classical Normal mode into Realistic, when there's already a Realistic mode in Soldat and the ideas should go there.

I'm not talking about modding here. I'm talking about the default, actual Soldat.

Why?

because your body won't "blast" backwards, and there' diffrent types of bullets, explosive bullets, and penetration bullets, probably more.
