What kind of music do you listen to and why

Frogboy, i like the OLD metallica before thy went populat and started making crapsongs and being complete dicks. i know KIRK started Exodus, exodus was awesome with pail Baloff.
like iron maiden was so much cooler with pauil di'ann, but that's just personal taste.
and i dislike motorhead just because i can't stand that lemmy's face and voice.

I love all music...went to the Metallica concert this Saturday that just went by and it was amazing. And although old Metallica is by far better(which they played Blackened, Ride The Lightning, Whiplash, Creeping Death, and Master of Puppets, but not Battery grrrr) some of their new stuff (NOT FROM St. Anger or the Black Album) is very good such as All Nightmare Long.


Anyways, I listen to basically anything that comes on, all underground, mainstream, I like recording or setting up/mixing in studios, and I like trying to learn instruments.

I can chill out to some Jedi Mind Tricks(went to a concert 2008), or go to IronMaiden(went to 2 concerts 2008), listen to some George Thurogood(sp?), go to some Lionel Ritchie, hit up Lupe Fiasco (went to a concert 2008) basically anything that is musical.

My mom listens to that poppy girl-stuff (Annie Lennox, Bruce Springsteen, etc) so I like that.
My dad listens to that old-time country-stuff (Willie Nelson n such) so I like that too. Not the new country stuff mind you, the good stuff from the past.
My sisters listen to that new pop-indie stuff (Arcade Fire type things) so I like that.
My friends listen to that hip-hoppy stuff so I like that too.
A couple of my friends listen to that classical stuff so I listen to it too when bored.
Most people online seem to like that metal stuff so I listen to that too.

Nah, it's a pretty legendary album, most metal-minded people will have heard of it, at least in passing. Operation Mindcrime being their most famous. Check out Early Dio (ie Holy Diver) if you are into that and/or Iron Maiden.


I'm pretty pumped for seeing Cynic, who is playing with Meshuggah and The Faceless on the 17th of february in Toronto. It's Cynic's first tour in like 15 years

And why;

Rap gets my attention easier, I love the skill that's involved aswell, which is outstanding.  The entire Hip-Hop genre is probably the most appealing to me (but not particularly the culture)

And Metal, I like Metallica, but it's pretty much the only reason I like metal and am mentioning it.

I listen to other stuff too, but I don't like being very up-front about my music taste, since it's pretty awkward for most people ;<
