       "Maximum SOLDAT."

Started Jan. 01, CRYSO is now in a completed state.

[ Features ]

CRYSO features:

  • Fully modified weapons
  • Menu guns
  • 80 custom sounds, directly from Crysis
  • US and KPA Gostek sets
  • Powerup boxes
  • Alpha sparks and blood
  • Alpha explosion set by Tattoo/Serial Killer
  • Custom Bots: Psycho, Prophet, Kyong, KPA Nanosuits, and KPA Soldiers
  • Balanced Weapons Mod
  • Custom language set
  • CRY0 Interface for registered users
  • Custom startbg.bmp
  • Flamer has been changed to Maximum Speed for a quick burst that cappers may find useful.
  • Rambomatch has been changed to Barrelmatch.
  • Explosive weapons [M79, LAW] have restricted ammo counts for balance purposes.

Version 1.1 Patch:

  • Fixed Cluster/Flamer/M2 kill log alignments
  • Tweaked ingames
  • Slightly faster firing precision rifle
  • Tweaked menu guns
  • Pickup textures rotated back to normal
  • 4 default replacement textures extracted from Crysis game data
  • Tweaked sounds: Louder fire and reloads
  • Cryso language file updated for 1.5x
  • Background for SK's Modlauncher included

Version 1.2 Patch:

  • New Realistic mode WM
  • CRY0 Interface alignment fixes
  • Fixed misnamed colt1911-fire.png
  • Tweaked ingames
  • Tweaked Normal WM
  • Tweaked menu guns
  • Tweaked sounds

[ Setup ]

CRYSO extracts directly into C:/.../Soldat and not C:/.../Soldat/Mods.
It is highly recommended that clanmatch be turned on and language set to Cryso through Config.exe.
CRYSO may be started with Start.exe.
Default US Nanosuit color for players is the standard gray selectable from color menu [clGray, 128:128:128].

CRYSO patch extracts directly into C:/.../Soldat and not C:/.../Soldat/Mods.
Make sure to go back into Config.exe and reset language to Cryso if using the custom language set.


[ Notes ]

Menu guns, weapons-gfx, and gostek BMPs were done in MS Paint. Object boxes were created with Photoshop and MS Paint. PNG files were created with Photoshop. Sounds were extracted from Crysis game data FSB files using FMOD Music Player Ex by Jérôme Jouvie. Reload sounds were created using ingame recorded sounds as a template upon which extracted sounds were composed and mixed for timing accuracy. Crysis textures extracted through 7zip and Photoshop.

Alpha Tattoo Explosions are courtesy of Serial Killer and Tattoo.
Vesttake.wav, Berserker.wav, Predator.wav, Ruger77-fire.wav, Law.wav, Law-end.wav, Infiltmus.wav, Chainsaw-d.wav, Spawn.wav, Chainsaw-o.wav, Dist-gun 1,2,3,4.wav, and Dist-M79.wav are courtesy of blackdevil.

All other sounds are mixed from original Crysis game assets by Espadon. All graphics are original work by Espadon.

Modification and public release without permission from original authors is prohibited.

Crysis is property of Crytek.

Now if only original game could be that good as this mod, but isn't. You are the best modder in terms of modernity, although hiperrealism (or photorealism) is not most important in art (also modding). :P

although hiperrealism (or photorealism) is not most important in art (also modding). :P

Totally agree with you there. If the mod is fun, that's all that matters [I hope I made this one fun too].

Well I see main difference in gameplay. While blackdevil's Crysis mod is more up into action, brave slaughterhouse with insane speed, your Cryso mod has tactical gameplay where going into middle of battle = suicide. In both mods same amount of brain is used  to k:d but in different way.

Soldat/Mods/Cryso/Txt/Default.txt will change the text, but I can't get Soldat/Mods/Cryso/Txt/font.ini to work.

Setting Language to Cryso will use the Soldat/Txt/Languages/Cryso.ini to set the font to Pirulen. Soldat doesn't read from the mod folder when it comes to fonts unfortunately.

after some time plyig i have found a weapons-gfx bgu
the scars alignment is for a pixel different on the sides
but that would be bitching, and you actually dont see it

only the rambo bow abd the knife are pain in the ass

in the wm the barret could use a small nerf, cause its currently imba, and i dont see much of a difference between the mp an ak

otherwise, it is great

but im still waiting fot the halo mod

Yeah the gosteks are 1px wider than normal so I purposely misaglined all the weapons so they would look the same length in-game.

this mod wins, everything is nicely done... the only thing i was worrying was that the team colors were too dark but it's not a problem anymore since i'm used to it now... the only thing i changed for the sake of gameplay was the barrel for my pale white knife... if i could only have one that matches the theme  :'(

Nice mod I like the alien MOAR effect and the sounds.

You should add a semi transparent box around weapons otherwise they are kinda hard to distinguish on the dark background.
