That is some better, but look at my version of your weapon:
- yours had some punched holes in the outlines
+ good details on the gun ;)

I took your version of the gun and changed outlines, some mainthings, gave it some kind of texturing and dithering manually and removed a pixel in the barrel ;) Look about how I changed the gun, try to learn, where you could improve, try it yourself without going from my weapon and you will get better [pigtail]

Okay, Dark, we need to get something straight here.  :P

Let me say this... as LOUDLY as possible.   :P

1. Do not use a condecending tone with me.  :P  I came down on someone else for pulling that s#$t. I don't know if your aware or not, but generally, human beings do NOT enjoy said attitude being lashed out at them. I am NOT an exception to that. I absolutely love your advice, but if you're gonna package it with a condecending, awful attitude, I suggest you take that advice, pull your pants down, hold your breath, and store it in a place that is known for not recieving any sunlight. ;D

2. DO NOT use a condecending tone... and then have the nerve to put up an even worse gfx and say that the worse one is better.   :| To be quite honest, if I published your work, in addition to becoming a laughingstock, I would deserve that attitude. To be honest, I'm developing the impression that it's me who should be shooting that condecending attitude towards you.

3. I'm not some 4 year old toddler. I'm a junior.  :| I have an honors Curriculum. I got a 1320 on my SATs. I'm not some dumbs#$t, pot-head, low-life, scum-sucking, intestinal parasite. I'm probably far more intelligent than you. Don't talk to me like I'm the annoying 3rd grader next door.  ;D

4. It's QUITE obvious that you've never handled the Colt M1911. I have. My father's service pistol. He was in the Marines, and I've fired his Colt enough to know that there isn't a magical BUMP on the shell ejector. IN FACT, there's a slight indent, which even makes LOGICAL sense... now doesn't it.   :o

Again, I do love the advice. It helps me perfect these images. Other people notice some irregularities that I would otherwise pass up. However, what I do NOT love is an extremely a$sish attitude, especially coming from someone who thinks the utter garbage that spews from his GI tract onto the screen is better. The next time you want to use that tone with me, I HIGHLY suggest you make damn sure your work is better than mine.  :|

Outta curiousity, exactly what drug are you on?  ;) 'Cause whatever it is, stop using it. I don't think you could pay me to use your "weapon."

What arrogance. I admit I can be arrogant at times. It comes from the family. But at least I make sure that I'm right.  :|

Lol, really I like Gladiator's one not yours.
And btw first of all DarkCrusade, think about upgrading your skills ;)

Thanks for the support, Sky. I'm glad someone else is still sane.

When I would look as an other person on this post I would think you would want to have a foe who is really angry on you, but I take it easy now. What I wanted to say with my gfx was, that your tone wasnt deep enough, YOU used 5 colors, too less I think and that was the point I was getting at, but you didnt understand.

To come more on your post: I dont think you are in a position to say that you are more intelligent than even someone, because you cant know by a post (just if he is really a doofus) whos cretin and whos not, but thats just btw, because

I dont think it is important that you had the weapon in your own hands, it just shows you the weapons in real, but you can have the same effect if you see a picture of the weapon.

To say it clearly: you think I am arrogant? In your big arrogance you should not keep saying others are arrogant .... I didnt say you are a little child or a idiot, I didnt say that I am more intelligent than you, and I think you should think about yourself why you scare others saying what they think.

Like I mentioned in an other thread I WAS never on drugs and WILL never be on drugs, and it is a real offense to say something like that, but that, too, is not the point I want to get at:

You dont seem to get why I posted my crappy version of the M1911!

Have fun, I´ve finished

DC, I was insulted by what you posted. That was out of order. Innappropriate. Your tone suggested that my work was bad, and that I should try to learn from your work. Though that isn't too serious of an insult, you then post a modified M1911 that looks... worse.

In other words, you're better than I am, yet you make a weapon that looks innaccurate. That got to me. While I have no problem with others' advice, I do have a problem when other's advice indicates that I'm incompetent, while said advice is even worse.

As to handling a 1911, yeah it does help. When you use the real thing, you tend to notice small details that you'd otherwise not see. Take the shell ejection, for example. There is an indent there, yet yours shows a bump. What? Why would you put a bump there?

Lastly, I don't think it's impossible to give someone advice... without any indication or element of insult or arrogance.

Good: You should improve the shading around the slide. (Period)

Bad: You should improve the shading around the slide, and if you try to learn (which is likely impossible for you), you just might make it look adequate, but you can't use the work I provided here, and you might over time get better (though I doubt it).

Notice the difference? If you want to additionally talk about the weather or the Yankees... go ahead. But unneccesary, insulting commentary in no way helps anyone. Why put it in?

As I see you probably cant need any critique and that makes me feel ... okay, that wouldn´t interest you in any way. Again you came back to this post you didnt like, thought you were finished, but you seem to be not ready for sth like that coz you dont get it out of your head ;D No offense, but I think you should go on with your work and dont stop to post like shit, it is awfull to see an other modder who cant concentrate on the things which really matter ...

I won´t go on now, it seems really like I would get very angry if you post again, because you dont understand what I wanted to say, I wont look around in this thread again, hope you go on modding

Yeah, I will go on modding.

Next time, don't add anything that isn't needed. Let me take that one further. Don't add anything that can be taken the wrong way.

I would love to finish the colt, so I can move on. And I will listen to your advice.

What I won't do is put up with any kind of condecending attitude. I haven't my whole life, and I'm not gonna start now.

Now, how is this:

Hmhmmmm, it is condescending, I have to mention it second time :)

I didnt add something that isnt needed, I posted it (in terms of grammatic). And I dont think it was misunderstandable, but you did, but that is not my problem

Now, how is this:

I can see an improve, but the pins are too light (on the handhold)

When you miniaturize graphics, you can't use the exact same shades as on the actual thing [if you're aiming for a 'realistic' look].

It is better, but it really needs some more work on it! I dont like the shading, and it would be much better if you would try to texture it in some way ;)

My opinion. Front of bolt should have wisible shadow of it's 'thinesness'. There's something wrong with trigger (looks kind of strage with that stright line). The grip looks nice. Overall shape is quite good but I'd make the back of bolt little 'less staright'. Shading... It looks like you just put some darker colors in random places.
