I feel really out of the uniqueness.........

I made this name, because I always love sniping in any game... Especially in soldat. I think when I played Warrock long time ago, I wanted my name to be "thesniper".

I somehow fucked my typing and created account named: "tehsniper". Later, I dunno, I wanted the name a little more badass, so I decided. "tehsnipah", that's it!!

And I'm enjoying and proud of my name. :D

Espadon in French is swordfish, in Spanish is broadsword; both have basis in Latin spathe, a sword, not fish.

Ah, my bad.

Nice.

...Then where was she?!?!  ;D

What Revelations 6:8 SHOULD say: "And behold a pale horse, and his name who sat on him was Death... and all of the United States Marine Corps followed with him."

Is that from a novel?

Ds Dude.  I chose the name because it just is.

It's so stupidly pointless and immature which makes it hardcore.
This signature was borked. Now it is not.

I always thought it was because you got a Nintendo DS and loved it so much you decided to name yourself as a dude who plays it. Is there any validity to that?

Yes, epic story. Actually, not really.

Anyways, I've had this nick for around 10 years, mostly because it is 100% unique. I don't think there's anyone else who would come close to this same combination of words. The name started from a guy named Joosa Riekkinen. He is an excellent guy. Mostly because he made this great game called Liero. I was introduced to this game by a friend of mine. Now of course there was a community around the game, so when I joined those community boards (at a place called Terror Sabbath, made by good ol ulvhockey and durandal) I needed a name. A quick description of Liero would be 'real-time Worms'. Thus the name 'Wormdundee' (I guess I'm some sort of worm wrangler?).

Interestingly enough, there were some very well known people who started out in Liero. The guy who introduced me to Soldat was Shadowfax from Terror Sabbath, he brought me into the D11 Clan. D11 was kind of a combo clan for Soldat/LieroExtreme/Nex7+/etc... Now we're getting into really old times here. Social Poison also started out in Liero, and he was a real good friend of mine on Terror Sabbath. People who have been around long enough will remember him as the creator of the very first 'Soldat Bar' thread. He was also in some of the best clans of the time along with me, Camping Carl, and various other Soldat alumni.

Now going even further back: Flanagan. Flanagan was the first moderator of the MapMaking boards on the original soldat forums. Guess what, also started out on Terror Sabbath. I seriously doubt there is anyone else who remembers Flanagan though. He left the forums very early on, probably in 2002. Sadly, I do not know what has become of Social Poison, it's probably been at least 2 years since I last talked to him.

Sorry for the nostalgia trip. But those were the good times people, these forums have lost a lot of life since then. Not that I'm blaming anyone, they're still fun enough to keep me around.

Oh, one last thing. Who can tell me what the name of the famous thread by NANO was? :)

Little bit from column A, little bit from column B, with some of column C sprinkled in for effect.

Would that famous thread have anything to do with the last person to post winning a free soldat license?

Comes from a japanese band I listened to a lot some time ago. They made a song called echo tail. I needed a new gamename, my old one being Seraph(which got pretty common with the matrix sequals), so I though "Ey, awesome song, pretty cool name). So I added the r and the _ = echo_trail.

Very deep, I know.

Inspired when I saw someone share this name "spy the man". Back then, when I was a really young kid, I loved those secrecy etc that spies do have. So I adopted it, and I got "Spy_The_Man1993".

Overtime, I've used this name and it grew with me - everyone recalled me by that name and I used to change usernames extremely often. However, I never liked my other usernames, so eventually I went back to this username. I didn't like the full name, since that "spy" feeling has already been long gone, plus I didn't like to type too long. Therefore, I shortened it to an abbreviation that I was sometimes called - STM1993.

You will know if youplay a certain game. Certain roguelike game. I wish not to reveal it, since it is just superb when people come by like "Eh... Where did you get your nickname from.. I mean, from a game!? :O From ... ? :O".
