Anyways, Farah, you're getting off to a good start.  I've been composing some music myself for awhile (mostly techno, trance), and I can say that you have some talent.

I'm going to listen to ambience, only one I haven't listened to.

You can't, since the vast majority of music on youtube was uploaded illegitimately.

If you want to get music off the internet, do what I do and use Amazon's $0.99 unprotected MP3 service.

That's true, but the point was, you can't get in any trouble my way, 'cause technically, youtube takes the fall.

I'm sure Amazon is a great deal, I just don't want to pay money.

Besides, my way not only gets good-quality songs (you have to find a good vid), but you can also get entire movies and tv show episodes.

composed the midi in sibelius, exported midi into fruity loops xxl 8 and used absynth 4 vstis

Industrial ambience has a nice tune, but 'twas boring for me. Then again, I'm not really into pokémon.

Well, to be honest, most of my music comes from cd' I buy off of amazon and rip in FLAC. :-/

Seriously, what is with this culture of entitlement that seems to be happening? It's like you think you have the right to own music. Here's the thing, music is not a basic necessity of life, you are NOT ENTITLED to have any music you want. Here's an idea. If you can't afford to buy music...then you can't fucking afford it, therefore you do not get to own it. I mean it costs less than a dollar to buy a song. If you think a song is not worth that, then you don't buy it, its as simple as that.

At least have the honesty to admit that what you are doing is illegal and not 'harmless' as you put it.
