Vehikulz yes ofkors
go -> http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?board=4.0 and explain how soldat would be any better with them. Make sure to prepare some really good arguments.

And moving polys won't be added because they'd need changes in map format. And no, they wouldn't make soldat "pretty much perfect".

...
Too bad that I have to agree with you, netcode was never fixed and they keep adding useless "features" instead.

Yes, they would. The possibilities of customization and fun variety would be almost endless!

But oh well, at least they added .gifs,  a think that should have been done a decade ago.

So long as server exploits are fixed (which several of them have been) I couldn't give a shit about bug fixes or new features. ;)

I'll admit there are some bugs I'd like to see removed and a few new script core features added, but other than that the list of importance is:

1) Server exploits
2) Server exploits
3) Server exploits
4) Bug Fixes
5) Server exploits
15) New features.

I love it!

Its MUCH better then the previous version. The radio messages are neat  :P. My only requests are that the net code gets reworked a bit so that PING is better to servers, and that some small vehicles get added. If those get added, Soldat will be perfect in my opinion.

That "PING" is not determined by Soldat but it depends on your ISP and the way it connects to the server, it has nothing to do with soldat..
About Vehicles --> Sigh...

Technically...it also has to do with the netcode and the provider of the servers from the game too. It also depends how close you are with the server and how good ur isp as u said above.

you want vehicles? go play NFS or BURNOUT or whatver. Soldat with vehicles? you want it? script it to your server. Can't do it? STHU then.

IMO i believe you should bet on mapping better. Make more maps that are better for CTF and INF and stuff. The standard ones we have now, and from the previous version are not that great (with the exception of CTF_Ash). Anyway, i think you should bet on mapping.

Yeah, making some new maps would be nice but keeping the balanced and playable gives mapmakers hard time. It's not so easy as it looks like. Haven't tried myself though because I know it would be just another flop.

I tried myself on mapping, and i totaly realized i shouldn't even have tried cuz i suck at it. But many ppl here don't. Why not asking many mappers here to make exclusive standard maps for soldat 1.5D?

After a few first maps anyone could make good map, map that plays. It's different thing to make something unique and fun.

The hardest thing in mapping is to find motivation to start making new map all over again. Too usually it happens that mapper makes nice map, but it stays at forum and almost no one playing it, it doesn't motivate you very well. #soldat.mapping (@quakenet) is place where you can try the new maps that are released.

Also if you are having some wild ideas we'll be more than happy to see them, and consider if it's worth making map.

Will this be the last beta pre-release before the actual version comes out? If so, will you (the developers) try to fix all known issues/bugs that rise in the next month or so? It would make it all the more worthwhile if the game was fully polished.

I'd also like to add that, since community members seem to dislike waiting for quite a while for each new version of the game it would be much nicer if Soldat was constantly updated. I believe it would make the game look more developer-devoted if occurring bugs were fixed as soon as possible (although I understand you all lead busy lives) with on-going game patches.

When the Soldat developers release a new game version, although old bugs/glitches are usually fixed there are new problems that are created in the game. With this method of releasing a game version every few months or so, the game will always have bugs, new or old, that re-occur after a new version is released. A game with never-ending "glitch cycles" isn't very amusing to play :X. If the developers were to make Soldat a continues release of patches to fix bugs, it would make the process of eliminating glitches faster without the players having to wait many months to finally find relief in a fixed glitch. (Pfft, I'm still waiting for that ctf_Ash nade-glitch fix that goes through the roof).

I think it actually was fixed in one version (maybe 1.4.0), but in the next version it was back again. Wonder why! And yeah, it should definitely be fixed again.

However, such a glitch is forbidden to use during a cw.

At least in most leagues. And it's for sure that it IS a bug because its supposed to be "everything-colides" and bugs HAVE to be fixed. Same applies to flags, you can throw them through there, too (not only on Ash).

The problem is that this poly is very small so that your hands go through this poly. As a consequence, you can throw nades or flags.

There is one way to fix it, the polygon must be broadly at least double sized, which has effect on looks and gameplay. There are plenty of maps which share this same problem (at least Kampf, Laos). I'll talk about this with devs.

there are several other bugs like boosting yourself down to tunnel from spawn with m79 but fixing those would as suow said affect gameplay
