Yes, I saw it, it is great, but I want more ;D Maybe more detailed and with some instructions what he did actually since the only thing I can do with my Photoshop CS3 is shading/lighting, texturing and the easy stuff, but I can´t use the brushes properly :(

There's no formula for shading so there's really nothing to explain... and no, if I ever linked a video it was AndreeWallins' not mine.

lalalalalala

Wanted to do something that looked like the 90s BAEN/FASA/TOR scifi paperbacks.

The random tank in the bg is heavily inspired by one of Keith Laumer's Bolo novel covers. I always enjoyed reading his stuff and the ironically clunky way the Bolo was usually illustrated left a lasting impression xD

Drew a comic on my computer science teacher.  Drawn by hand; hastily colored via Paint.NET.

Wow...you can draw.

Like, seriously.  I've seen endless amounts of web comics where people couldn't even get basic proportions down.  But you did well here.  For some reason, I looked at the first panel and the guy on the left make me think of Zap Brannigan.

And I can relate, which makes it that much better.  Spot on.

I like the textbook "C" You In Hell. That and the last two panels made that pretty awesome.

@MattH; I was just wondering do you use filters?  The mesh on the dude's back looks like you have drawn lines and then applied a relief filter or something.

At this stage I did used filters, the patterns that you see are simply the first step I use in making the chain mail that the Romans used.
I've touched it up a bit more, but its still far from finished.

but I do use filters, right now I'm only using the "oilify" filter.

Don't. Unless you're just using them to speed up a process in the painting. Just make sure it doesn't look filter-ish in the end.

Shading colors isn't as simple as +white +black. Just something to consider for your future works.

If it's towards me, Yeah I know and that image isn't finished. Prolly never will as It was way off from what I intended it to be. I normally go from that stage to the one you can see in the muscle image I posted earlier in this topic. I like to have some recognizable shapes before I go for the more detailed state.
