"Bad smith blames the iron"
"Bad artist blames the software"

This must be Mozart.

Well.. really paint isn't suitable for anything. It fails hard at everything. ;D
But I see your point. Pixel art is mostly done with a mouse anyway.

That´s not true. Watch THIS! Now get yourself a gun.

EDIT: Which tool should I use for the outlines, which size and stuff, and which for the sketch in Photoshop? I am not quit sure ...

Nah, I'm good. ;P
My point is that other graphic editors are much much better than Paint. Sure if you try hard enough you can even do really impressive stuff like on that vid, but in other programs it's much easier. :S Here are some good free editors: Gimp, Paint.Net

Well... it depends on your style. For pixel art you can just use pencil tool.
For full-rendered paintings it's hard to say - many different people do it differently. I still can't figure out which way is easiest for me. My paintings either suck hard or take way too long to finish. :S
You can do everything with just the brush and eraser. I suggest you take a look at brush settings panel. There you can set what should react to pen pressure. For outlines you can set brush size to pen pressure, for shading - opacity to pen pressure. There are those kinds of brushes in default set too.

Paint Shop Pro 9 or any other version by Jasc.
Best pixel art software you can ever get. Period.

Perhaps the Corel versions might work too, but last time I tried (11), it sucked horribly.

DarkCrusade, in all honesty your best strategy is to use your pencil to stab his drawing hand. >_>

Only anime shows I've felt any interest in over the years are Pokemon (original TV series) and various hentai.
so clearly jgrp is a goddamn anime connoisseur. his opinion might as well be law here.

Prison wine.

On a completely unrelated note, Sculptris is officially the coolest program ever. It is by far the most intuitive, easy to use 3D modeling program I've ever seen, and it's free. This leech thing only took around 15 minutes.

Awsum. :D Would be even cooler if it had more frames though.

By the way, I always wondered.. why do his legs look so short? You do that on purpose as part of this character's style, or you just accidentally messed up proportions?

Yeah, I sort of tried to make that character look skinny, short and quick.
It does have some alternative looks, but think that as a default :--D

WOW! This time his dick is intact, his neck and head are at least slightly believable, he isn't crucified on a swastika, he isn't getting tortured/banging a whore/etc. He's just a normal guy. Or at least as normal as any orange cartoon can be.

Congrats, you've made my day.
