Yes, the faceplate colors are supposed to be a throwback to MP Evas.

Nah, I'm still far from Espadon's skills. That pic is ok, but considering it took me about 10 days to finish it.. not good.
My main problem right now is use of colors (I still can't get used to picking the right ones. :/ ) and convincing shading of different materials. But I hope it won't take me too long to get there.

Getting a new tablet soon, so I'll start practicing again.

Use a colour wheeel. You can basically find one anywhere.

Color wheel works better for picking a general color scheme for the picture (Or maybe I was just doing it wrong...).
What I'm having problem with is the shading - picking the right colors for shadows and highlights of a single object.

Normally I do more of the shading in pen, but these were tiny little doodles and I wanted to leave enough space to get color in.
