Duke Nukem 3d (JA!)

s4r got me and a few other Soldatters into this game. Its pretty amazing, the vent hilarity, the horrible graphics, amazing speed of the game, and all the great stuff!

You guys should download it and join #c&k @ quakenet, and join our games

Here is a guide to make it work ONLINE with PEOPLE

Next, fire up the duke3d_w32 file and set the game to your liking. ( We are setting up both because we run different versions to try to get everyone to be able to play.)

If you are on vista set up both eduke32 and duke3d_w32 to both run as administrator.
Do this by right clicking on the exe's and selecting Properties, click on Compatability tab, then check "Run this program as administrator" and hit apply.

Next, fire up yang and go to Settings --> Source Ports and configure it to look like this, and then it Ok.

You are now ready to play duke3d online!

Old school ftw!  It's an awesome game I know!

I used to play the old one over floppy drive, and it was awesome. ;)

Im'a download it and try it sometime. 8)

I think that will work slower Laser Guy, but it will work.

The High Resolution Pack is o.k., but I really love playing the classic version. It's not really about the graphics, it's more about the gameplay.

Woah, I remember getting this as a demo on a floppy. My parents bought our first computer when I was like 6 years old. I didn't have very developed gaming skills yet and it scared me too much to play it, so I never really got into it because of that, but now might be a good time for some nostalgia.

Oh, wow. I remember I played and beat the demo of this game during the 2004-2005 Florida hurricanes. It's not fun playing this game whilst being afraid as fuck that the computer might at any time be struck by lightning. :-/

Id recommend trying this out before you knock it. This game is great fun, you'd after playing Soldat you'd appreciate good gameplay over looks and age.

Ooh hey I'm in an old-games mood. Just played Quake for the first time a month or so ago, and Half-life a bit before that (hl is a bit newer but w/e).

I'll give this a go.
