Guitar Hero Metallica.
« on: March 17, 2009, 10:17:01 am »
I am watching some video recordings on the new Metallica Guitar Hero game coming out. And let me say, this is a dream come true for me. My favorite songs now playable on Guitar Hero, and the animations and graphics look amazing now, and when you play and hit a note, t shows them hitting that note. Instead of them continually playing the song as you screw up. Though this usually only happened with the drums on the older games.
I cannot wait for this.

There is no actual reason to watch this, seeing as this is a discussion topic open for discussion.

I think most of these 'new' songs are available for a while now for free clone of GH - Frets on Fire. And the only thing it's different from GH are the graphics, buyable guitars and other shit. But mods can make the main part FoF look  exactly like GH, so yeah, GH:metallica is as important for me as last year's snow.

The differences between the two go much farther than that.

But I want this for the songs and the song QUALITY. I cannot find good song qualities on FoF songs that actually have good note set-up compared to the song.

Tell me how far they go, I played both games and didn't notice any more differences.

Depending on how the designers feel, this could be a very hard game. I think it might maybe have a more limited audience when compared to the other one-band GH, Aerosmith. Perhaps. I don't really want it.

I'm not that much of a fan like you Xxypher, but they do have some nice guitar solo, like:

Master of Puppet.

Well, I personally think it's not worth it... I mean, come on! We have audio-surf!!

I expect it to be exactly like the Metallica concert I went to in January. It was good until they started playing all their crappy songs after Master of Puppets. I don't mind Death Magnetic though. I probably will buy it but I don't really know why I would when I probably would have more fun playing Metallica on my 3 real guitars as opposed to my 3 plastic GH/RB ones. I'll tell you what, Kazuki, if you buy it, then I'll have a good reason to buy it. I'll be the drummer.

I suck at this game but it's a lot of fun.
Do you want to see me crawl across the floor to you?
Do you want to hear me beg you to take me back?
I'd gladly do it because
I don't want to fade away.

you can download every song, so basically you are talking bullshit now about buying it for a special song, and the quality is perfect since GH3 imo..
For signatures, you are allowed only one image in your signature which may not be wider and taller than 300 and 125 pixels, and may not be over 20kB in file size. No BMPs are allowed.

I'm am really stoked about it. I listen to Metallica on a daily basis, just to warm up to the game at the end of the month. I don't really know what to expect, 'cause I had I had my hopes up with Aerosmith as well, which turned out to be less of a cheery game. But the tracklist so far with GH:M really fits my liking, so it should be good.

I was watching an interview with one of the makers, and they explained how you'll be able to turn off drumnotes during songs in this game. That is just wicked. I'm gonna go all Lars Ulrich(who, by the way, is also danish) and just rock the hell out of it.

Also, in the latest version, World Tour, it was difficult to really help eachother out saved for gathering starpower. Metallica should be more teamplay minded, sort of like Legends of Rock, in terms of one players perfect play will raise another players rock bar. That's pretty cool as well.

Yeah, I'm stoked.
I fucking miss all you cunts!

Even if I had the guitars and had more of a liking for Metallica I wouldn't buy this. Seriously, they're just going to keep shitting out these 'new' games that should just be song packs for the Guitar Hero that is already out.
