Killzone2: Seems like every other shooter out there. Buy one and be done with it until the next one comes out.

MGS4: Boring as shit, and the story is so contrived. Who likes this crap and why couldn't we have gotten a game with solid game play?

Resistance 2: N/A have not played, seems like the same reasoning for KZ2 though.

Littlebigplanet: Good idea, bad implementation. Loads of freeware computer programs that have way better tools, way more playable, way more free. I had high hopes for this, but they were crushed.

I'm really glad that they didn't. Metal Gear Solid 4 is without a doubt one of the most moving and emotional games out there, Although I will say that I didn't vote vote for it because it has the best gameplay. While the gameplay is decent, the reason it's soooo good is obviously the graphics, the cut scenes which are amazing, the amount of actual interaction, and just original and clever ideas.

Also, find a better story line in a game series today. Most games are "We hate them, they hate us, let's kill them." But MGS4, while being confusing (You have to play each game at least 2 times to understand the story), is without a doubt the most in depth story I have ever seen in a game, and like I said the gameplay is still up there with other games.

Find another game with as intricate and awesome of a story line, that has clever jokes and jabs and inovative ideas, that's not only challenging and fun to play, but that also gets you as emotionally involved with the characters as MGS4, and I'll buy that s**t in a heartbeat.
That's why I voted for it. (....And I am a huge fan of the series. I hope MGS5 goes more in depth with the story of the Gray Fox  )

Thats not a good thing for the gaming community. In depth =/= good. Knytt has a better story than MGS4, so does jumper. Because at its core, MGS story is pretty shallow with a bunch of random extensions.

Of course. PS3 and other new gen systems are all about two things; Maximizing graphics and having a good online experience. One Shooter is going to be obsolete as the new one hits the market(in this case CoD: Modern Warfare2). Sure there will still be players, but the amount drops in some crazy exponential rate. That's basically the case with all systems including the PC.

As for MSG4, the story was fine. I prefer square's game stories much better, but it wasn't as bad as you made it out to be. And the people who always complain how its a movie, there's a button called skip scene you could have done.

I'll agree with you with LBP. It's potential was really high, but the way that set up online play was truly disappointing.

The best game right now to me for PS3 "right now" is still KZ2 because it's almost like Team Fortress 2 which I liked, but made sooo much better with the class system and the levels are very nicely detailed. The best game overall would probably be a Nintendo or Playstation game because they didn't focus on the graphics, but rather the gameplay and enjoyability. Either FF7, FF Tactics, or Chrono Trigger would probably be my favorite game of all time.

O wow that was obvious . I think it has an in-depth feel, sure, but I'm not so sure about more in-depth than MGS series. Maybe when they make as many games as Kojima has, starting on the NES and where they're at now, then I'm sure HL with be more in-depth.

Lies!!! Crysis has phenomenal graphics.

PS3 has the POTENTIAL to have better graphics, but it's far harder to access the power of the PS3. 360's raw power is very easy to access, but even it hasn't had a game that can make it reach it's full potential. All cross console games (On PS3 and 360) are made for 360, then converted to a PS3 compatible game as IT IS EASIER THAT WAY. Many studios turn to 360 as it's easier to access it's power. PS3 has the potential, just not the compatibility. Look at screenshots, teh 360 renders more and has better lighting/reflections. PS3 also has a frame rate drop when runnung at high resolutions (Only for cross console games).
