Not Enough Disk space?
« on: March 20, 2009, 03:06:30 am »
I got an error today when trying to patch my Battlefield Vietnam (It's happened more than once though)

It said:

Not enough space on the selected drive. Free up some space before proceeding.

What the hell? I have 200GB of free disk space on C: and about 1100MB of free memory (RAM)

Can anyone help?

If it helps:

It was patch 1.2. I have Vista, 320GB hard drive and 2GB RAM. There's got to be a simple way to fix this...

First, get Windows 7.
Then, get rid of anything that you do not need.
Second, reinstall the game.
Third, hope that it works.

Wtf Xxypher, Windows 7 isn't gonna fix every problem. I can see you being very dissapointed when it comes out the way you are taking about it.

I'll try compatibility mode. I have a no CD crack because my friend wanted his disks back :(
I can't play online currently. I also want to play the WWII mod. I'll post if this doesn't help.

WTF is windows 7?

You shouldn't be using cracks in the first place. It's illegal, immoral, and indefinitely bad for your health and financial status.

Windows 7 is the next version of Windows after Vista. It is currently out for free as a Beta, which will stop working once the official version is out for purchase.
There are other worlds than these

if I had known it was a crack I wouldn't have helped at all.

I hope it breaks your HD

No no no. I installed the Battlefield Vietnam game using my friends CD's, bought and used the legitimate key code from the disc one packet and all, but when he wanted them back, I couldn't play, so I got the you-know-what. After recieving that very disgruntling warning for using Warez, I rang my friend and got the 1 CD. I'm now using that, I swear, I feel horrible for using a you-know-what, I do, but I really wanted to play. I tried the update WITH the real version now (real .exe anyway) and I got the 1.1 patch done, but the same problem
When I got to installing the WWII mod, which I got from the official website at EA.

I'm really sorry about the crack :( I feel horrible...
