As you may already know, I'm leaving for the Navy as a Nuclear Engineer.

jrgp is an awesome programmer and moderator. I think he's the spunk our forum needs to step it up a notch, and would do a damn fine job as admin in my leave. So, I am officially nominating him for admin of Soldat Forums.

It should also be mentioned that he has been working with ElephantHunter and I on quite a bit of code lately, including the new soldat.pl site, and helping here and there with some stuff on the recent soldat forums work. I look forward to working with him more, especially with the loss of ElephantHunter.

I think he has done an outstanding job as a moderator and the community has warmed up to him quite a bit in the past couple of years. It has been a privilege working with him, teaching him, and learning from him.

That said, I'll miss ElephantHunter greatly and look forward to the day when he's back.

Definitely in support. jrgp has always been a helpful and responsive mod, and overall member of SF community. He has little to no bias on people, and takes opinions on changes or ideas into account of what he does.

Only thing I don't like about his current moderation is the fact that he posts every time he deletes a post/reply, which is spam. It'd be better to just PM the user and explain why...

Well, since the only boards I read are the General and Off-Topics, I never really noticed anyone other than jrgp doing it. I've been mailed several times when action is taken against my posts, but they never post about it. :p

Anyways, doesn't really bother me. Just figured it would be simpler to mail the user(s), that way explanations can be given and no risk of changing the original topic. (Like now)

we all knew it was coming though i would have preferred that he got a bit more moderating experience beforehand as he is still quite young. however if it is imperative that someone take elephant hunters place then he is the best choice

Regardless of personality, jrgp is what the forums need. He spends a lot of time here and has dedicated a lot of effort towards improving the forums.

jrgp, it's pretty evident that you'll be promoted, so congratulations. I commend you on the amount of technical knowledge that you've accumulated at a relatively young age.

jrgp will be officially made an admin this week. He has been a great help to EH and I over the past few months and will be a great aid and partner to me in the future as we continue to great work for THD. I trust jrgp as much as anyone I work with online and have full confidence in him being an admin, as he has already been a role model moderator and community member overall.
