For all we know, there are strange and surreal things happening directly behind us, and the act of observing makes these things go away. We can't know for sure. That what makes these discussions so fun.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfPeprQ7oGc
I can beat this riddle by leaving a tape recorder in the middle of the woods.
If a tree falls in the forest, and I'm not there, and it makes a sound, but I don't hear it, but someone records it and plays it back to me at a dinner party, does that mean I'm still in the forest?
I attend grammar school, last grade, and ignorance is all around me. Well, good for them. Ignorance is bliss.
Of course it makes a sound. The kinetic energy is transformed into heat and sound when the tree hits the ground. Since we have an atmosphere here on Earth, sound has a medium through which to travel. Just because humans aren't around to experience said sound does not mean that it doesn't exist.I can beat this riddle by leaving a tape recorder in the middle of the woods.
