they don't see preds untill you (DAMAGE) them, meaning the instant effect of the action, even if you throw a totally random nade and after 3 secs some bot steps into it, and you're 2 screens away, he'll almost like "see/track" you, and shoot directly at you.

Bots, as you might expect, are possibly going to be upgraded and MM might give them hearing

For almost anything that another player does, be it walking, jumping, proning, preparing to throw a nade etc, you can hear him, provided your sound file (if you've modded your Soldat) for them is loud enough or your speakers are turned on very high.



Regarding bots/players' hearing and vision etc:
Bots are programs, not beings who can genuinely see or hear. I've some good examples:
1) When you are in predator mode, bots are unable to detect your presence at all, whether you are pretty still, flying or shooting randomly - traits that a human player can detect. Bots would magically know where you are if you HIT them with any bullet though.
2) In Realistic Mode, as long as you have the flag, if you are behind the bots at a certain distance, the bots would magically move towards your location, as though they knew where the flag was.
3) No matter how you hide behind a piece of scenery, bots will know where you are as long as you are not hiding behind a SOLID poly (polys whereby bullets can pass through or the player can pass through are NOT solid polys) or if you are in their field of vision (realistic).


On the other hand, human players can be deceived and they have the ability to genuinely think and are therefore smarter than the bots.
