.INI modding problem
« on: March 30, 2009, 04:08:45 pm »
i tried to edit the Weapons_Realistic.INI and then had alot success. but for some reason it just stops taking any more changes.
anyone else had the same problem?
Most of my guns are modded ingame but then if i want to change them they revert back to defaults when i get in game, even though when i go and check the INI file they are showing up as modded.
The one thing i didn't change was the part that shows the mod from previous version. (eg. Recoil 12 > 16)) something like that.

You need to copy the original .iniĀ“s into a modfolder (like "Realistic") you have to create in the modfolder, afterwards you can start modding

Show me the ini file.

I remember because of a missing line in my weapon.ini, I got every stat below the missing line to become default settings.

Is default hardcoded now? I remember 1.3 where I could mod the weapon.ini in the soldat directory ;D

The default settings are hard-coded, but the weapon.ini overwrites the hard-coded thing. If there is a problem with the weapon.ini, then it'd use the hard-coded settings.

I didn't know that. That's a lot of help.
