Jungle map idea

I have done this sketch of a new jungle type map today. i hope you can imagine everything on this map.. i additionally added descriptions.

i just post this sketch here first before i start anything in polyworks. i hope people can figure out everything on the picture and tell me from that piece wether they like it or not (which means i will start polyworking this or .. not)

hope it is not false that i post a SKETCH and it is OK that i show no mapped overview from any polywork file(which not exists).

I wouldn't use deadly spikes, not that way
you should make the angle of that wall higher than 90ยบ, so peopple can't step there
make a support for those floating rocks in the left :p
make the map closed (peopple can't go to the ceiling)

Or just remove the invisible roof, and make the tops of each side deadly.  That's how I like things :P

youre just pure evil xD

bout the sketch.... i cant see much of it but i agree with As de Espada... make somekind of border

otherwise it looks nice for a first map

Thanks for the support! i Will change what you said because i mainly agree with you.

i wanted to create a "duel" type map which means that players are not supposed to be slaughtering themself in an open are but duelling between isles and other terrain. this is also a FLIGHTmap with high jet fuel.

the "mood"  of this map is very important to me so i will create a chilling jungle effect with lots of green and comfortable weather.


i will now convert this sketch to a scenery .bmp and add it to a new Polyworks file. then i will trace over this sketch for proportioning and adjusting of the terrain. after that the details and terrain finishing will be done!

any last words before i start this?

you mean so that there are two walls, one left and one right on which the player can not stand, like in RATCAVE?..if i got you right this is a good idea

Maybe it's because we know what work in progress means :p

oh, use opacity/color/resizing in your scenerys

about the RatCave thing... I don't think so. ratcave don't have any passage to the external of the map

I did give you mapping credit, though it's in the map description, not the TMS website. I'll edit the comment in there though.

I'm sure you could take the map as an idea of what you are looking for in yours, but if you insist, I'll be happy to take it down for you. :)
