Author Topic: SCTFL 14 sign-ups open! (Read 13538 times)

The SCTFL (Soldat Capture The Flag League) administrators would like announce that sign-ups have officially opened for the league's 14th consecutive season. SCTFL is one of only three official Soldat leagues, and it is the oldest active CTF league in existence. SCTFL consistently attracts the top clans in the competitive Soldat scene and has been host to over 1,000 clans and over 10,000 clan wars in its history.

Last season saw Knock Knock emerge as the victor in a well-fought final match against The Ruthless. These two clans, joined by over 100 others, played over 2,100 matches during the season, averaging about 61.2 matches per day.

The SCTFL administrators look forward to another successful season, and we encourage all interested clans to check out the SCTFL forums and sign up as soon as possible. The season is tentatively scheduled to begin on Monday, May 4th, though clans may continue to sign up throughout most of the season. Any questions or comments may be relayed to the SCTFL team through this post or via our forums.

Clans have the choice of playing on their own servers, but they may also choose to use ones which SCTFL provides. The previous few seasons were sponsored by ClanPlanet, during which time we received a lot of complaints about their servers' reliability, which is one of the reasons we decided to seek a sponsor who we felt offered better services.

Just to remind everyone, the season has started, however there is still time to signup. You can signup at any point until the last week of the freeplay begins.

It appears that SCTFL will have another succesful season, as we have had over 200 matches played already in the first 30 hours of the season. You may view freeplay stats here: http://stats.sctfl.net/

Hmmm, this year I'm kinda feeling that R7 is gonna take it home if they've learned from last season's mistake. However it's unpredictable really, so...

nah, R7 is weak this season, my bet is on utd and seals.

Weak?

Finished 1st place in Freeplay this season with 86.1% win.

I think Seals has got some of the best chances though for a final..they also had the best winning percentage with 89%.

I'm guessing something like R7, Seals, K2, and United.

Will be interesting to see if a smaller clan will pull through to the finals.

I have that problem after playing Soldat for +3 hours. I have reinstalled Soldat (more times than that other person that did 5 times), changed my font, tried a patch install (installed 1.4.2 first then installed patch to 1.5.0), some of the other things mentioned in this forum. AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!
