Unique powers for soldat figures

I have come to think abouht idea to getting some diffrent to soldat figures. Now only difrence between players figures are colors hairs...
But what abouht making somekind of "power list" to get some diffrence at players. I think there would be some kind of power list in player manu and the player is allowed to select one of them.

example powers:
-5% faster mover
-10% more fuel
-once per round berserker mode on (by some button)
-once per round predator mode on (by some button)
-1 nade more for 3 mins of round (after pressing button)
-5% more healt
-5% faster bullets
-5% faster reloading

and many others. Those fould be funny and open more strategic possibilitys.
Those just needed to put on balance. Soldat would come more complex.

I see your point, and in general this would be a fine idea. I just don't think it would work in a game like soldat. Soldat's small and fast paced, this is like right out of WoW.

In soldat you're supposed to have a lightening quick overwiev, and calculate your options almost the very second you see your enemy. Shoot or be shot, right? 5% more health wouldn't make much of a difference if there's a guy with mp5 right in front of you..

And allready I'll tell you which are more used: Beserker mode. This would by far outrun everything else, if you ask me. I just don't think soldat's fit for this deal.
Great initiative, though. I can tell you really thought about this. Keep it up, me boy :)

I vote no because i see one of the core ideas behind Soldat is that it's an even playing field: everyone has access to all the same equipment, and moves and functions the exact same. It's like stock racing, but with guns and jetboots.

HOWEVER, I could see potential in this as a mod.

No - keep the Soldat playing field an even one, at least in terms of the basic stats.

This could be a feature depending of the host.

So host could define are these kind of bonuses allowed, and when you join to the server, you select which bonus you want. And you could change it on some menu, but it would change only when next round comes.

Shortly: Good idea!

Edit: I suggest berserker mode will be 2 times shorter, or else its too powerful.

But anyways, i dont think michal will do this :(

I don't like this idea, because like said above, it ruins the level playing field aspect to Soldat. I want to play Soldat, not some damn Warcraft!

I don't see how you guys related this to rpg ;> If those are in balance there shouldn't be problem
of course if you play rpg and you have lot of kills you get levels and more powers but not in this one ;>

this just about sums up my opinion about this idea. if it was balanced and only like four options i would almost apreciate this idea... but it's just not for soldat.

After this improvement you can start planing more thinks. Because this improvement may allowe diffrent strategys and options. You may optimiz some places too. Or get your cards behind the counter.
This would improve whole soldat to difrent level. (It requir some work moustly with balance)
Think more abouth it. (well of course some people just want to play simply soldat :< but I would like to get more strategical challenge!

the thing is... currently your options are not making much of a difference in the game. until we get to beserker mode, that is way too good or the others are way to bad, and this is like Coke and chocolate, they are both good things, but they should not be joined.

This is in disctustion phaze and the berserker mode will not be problem after making this to balance...
Those was just only example not final words.
and I don't think berserker mode is somthing like way too good if you press button "now I got berserker mode lets kick some ashes... and second after it you get killed by barret. nice berserker mode. (or just bad timing)
and I am not realy talking abouht publick playing I don't usually play on those.
and one berserker mode in ctf games doesn't make sure that you get the flag. those can bestly just bring more exating at this game.

There are similar ideas in arcade games liek Alien Shooter (female and male model), and it works! (female more agile, male harder)

mmmhm.
Let me say first off, i quite like the idea.
It has the potential to become a great mod, or maybe an alternate playing mode. (joining its less-appreciated brothers realistic mode, and advance mode ;) )

But keep in mind most people in the comm are already having trouble to see the balance in the range of weapons that soldat offers right now, and its a source of constant bickering, whining etc.
Now you propose to introduce even more variables! :)
Most d*umb people, and I'm afraid that's -as always- the majority, will hate it to bits -- sad but true.  ::)

One more thing: you say your modifications would not explicitly be meant for the pubs -- so what for then? clanwars? leagues? cups? I have serious doubts this would be accepted by any existing ones.. I mean, real mode has hardly any, and thats been around for ages, and does have at least a substantial number of fans.. if you catch my drift.

it's a nice idea, but soldat is funny as it is, no more attacks like magic spells or ultimate health or something are not needed for a while :P
