Barrett is good, I personally use it sometimes when I don't encounter too many autos or when I have the advantage in range and terrain, but compared to the other weapons, it kinda sticks out like a sore thumb because it is very slow and defensive, which is the yin opposite of Soldat's yang. Many people don't really like the Barrett as a result of this aspect, plus the very high bink.
