Why you are complaining? I mean we had a public beta test... So you had time  to report your bugs. Also it's common that you find new bugs when you move to a new that's why we have the x.1 x.2 releases. I you really want to have less bugs report them to the bugtracker. This is helping us more then just complaining.
thx

And unfortunately the beta testers barely helped out at all, afaik. afaik enesce/mm got tired of waiting for their input and just released it.

Yeah people kept b***hing that no-one was playing and kept playing 1.4.2 if not no soldat at all. I played Offline against bots and found no bugs. I played a few online games, but my bugs were all already reported. I honestly hardly ever come across bugs in games, I play it normally, I don't try anything radical. For instance in Halo 3, some guy said "This game is so buggy, I keep trying to get the transport warthog over the wall in the pit using spartan lasers and grav lifts, and it keep dissapearing." And I was thinking "Yeah, but who does that?"

The beta testing team, as far as any sort of established, coordinated work goes, is entirely useless. As little as the actual public played the beta, the vast majority of the beta testers played even less. Some, despite being quite active in the community, didn't even try the beta, let alone attempt to find bugs or offer much useful advice. I think that the beta team has the potential to continue serving a valuable purpose in relation to the future development of the game, but as things are we're not seeing much of it.

If they/he really are/is able to fix those three bugs:

- Reload-bug
- Reconnecting-bug
- Disconnecting-bug

I'm more than thankful. I would even kiss EnEsCe's feet if that is really gonna happen.

I'm complaining about the fact that the public beta didn't really succeed very much because it relied on the community helping out, and, as usual, most people just whined about bugs rather than trying to help fix them (at least in Australia).

I don't even understand why because in each version I cannot manage to aim with barrett, even when the weaponmode had no change. i have to learn it again for more than 2 weeks to get the flow back... it's the most annoying thing the updates have.

Updating changes back your sensitivity.

Yep, I agree with that.

That's why next version will not have a public beta according to EnEsCe's site.

Yeah, it's too bad the public betas didn't help out much. I went online several times with the betas and either no one was playing,
or the server had a very high ping. :( I was all gung-ho too to help out with bugs and pub-play tests. Oh well.

It's so funny too, because after the anouncement of 1.5 being worked on, so many people were so impatient... so many couldn't wait
to play version 1.5. Then a beta came out and only a few people cared. :/

Its ironic, really, but then again, people want the full package, not a piece of it like in a beta.

soldat works well
well, we all have problems
problems and bugs exist, but don't worry
worry only if MM or e quit
quit your pessismism over the new version of soldat

I'll love to see you keep that attitude when 1.6 comes out, after 1.5.1, and 1.5.1b, and 1.5.1c....
Is it so hard to understand? MM doesn't have the time to fix all the bugs! They've made hardly any progress fixing the darn net code problems from 1.4.2...It's going way too slow, I say put the 1.5 balance (if you're so in love with it and it's that much better, which I highly doubt) into the 1.4.2 version, and fix the bugs there...Don't go making more bugs that will take another year to fix...

Hopefully, one day, when soldat 2.0.0 is released, and all the code is rewritten, we wont have the problems we have today.

Better not hold our breath, though.

Not going to happen in my opinion. Soldat 2 will hvae new features/accessories/gameplay etc. It's not coming out.

If it does, I'll be happen to be proven wrong.

But link-dead looks better anyway...

I think you're failing to recognise MM isn't heading the work on Soldat anymore; It's now EnEsCe that's doing the work, MM simply puts the package together and puts it up.

1.4 was as bad as 1.5, plus the bullets looked like fruits.

Sorry for offtopicness.

Fruity Bullets made your day? Cool.

I think soldat 1.5.1 will fix many bugs, but will open new ones up. People say "I want this new feature" and as EnEsCe and MM put time and effort (In their spare time) to put it in, people whine about the bugs. Well why don't you help. Report the bug, and shoosh about it, they're not ignored, they will be taken into account. I know they will because I trust EnEnCe and MM. If you want all bugs fixed, sign a petition saying "DON'T RELEASE SOLDAT 1.6 UNTIL 1.5 IS FREE OF BUGS" but please stop complaining, it is being worked on.

The sad truth is one of the reasons why it's going down is the slow progress rate cause people, are IDIOTS, simple as that, 90% of them keep wanting new stuff only for their own pleasure, ffs make your own mods! Don't bother MM and EnEsCe with adding more crappy updates that you'll no longer use after 2 weeks of playing with them! I wish those 10% who can think right were doubled, or tripled...People nowadays have just become so selfish and stupid they don't even give a fu**...Well I do, this great game should stay as great as it is! Stop spoiling it!
