Anyway, as said in my previous post, I think my connection is Cable and my speed is:

The download speed may be a lot slower depending on the time of the day. When I tried the test earlier in the afternoon, it was about the same as the upload speed.

just standard minneapolis cable, which is pretty impressive i guess.  when i originally got this connection in 2004, it was advertised as 2mbit down/128kbit up, and it's been getting increasingly faster since then.

Considering the discussion is more about crappy ISP's than good ones, I think you're the current winner.

But anyway is there anyone that can top GSx's connection? Man oh man the fun I'd have with that speed.

Here's what i have:

It's workable but pretty bad. I DO wonder how you guys can get high speeds at affordable rates though. Maybe i should check out an independent retailer or something...

I hate how ISP's use Megabits per second while Windows and other operating systems use Megaybytes per second, very misleading to people who dont know the difference IMO. :|

Who are the 4 tards who voted for Internet 2. You shouldn't have put that option in the poll.

Anyways, whoever said fuck Canada, I agree. Now, I haven't moved out yet so I don't see the internet bill generally. But I'm thinking its about 40 CAD and we get something like 1.5 Mbit/s down and 0.5 Mbit/s up. It's damn ridiculous I tell you.

There are definitely some positives to living in Canada instead of the US, but there's a whole lot of downsides too. Anybody who knows ICBC knows what I'm talking about. That shit is stupid. And any technology infrastructure is crap here. Bah.
