Just for the looks! An option next to 'render bullet trails' in the config.

It would be nice. I saw that video long ago and looked like a good idea.

It looks flashy, but makes it look like an actual bullet.

We had a topic on this before.

Personally, I don't wish to see that because it's too flashy, but it'd be nice for mods. Plus, like the bullet trail option, I'd like to see it be able to turn on or off. However, I want it in such a way that you can modify which projectiles have bullet trail and which ones do not. I like bullet trails on my bullets but not on a knife.

You can script this can't you?

You could also make the knife pic have a trail, though it'd look dumb when holding it, and it's spin.

You can't script that iif I am not wrong... createbullet with the same X,Y, direction and speed of the knife thrown?

^ Maybe that'd work, but it would be a very flawed script. Bullets ricochet, but the knife does not. That's one thing.

Secondly, a user may choose to throw his knife at a different speed, that'd also be a problem.

I don't really think you can calculate the path of a knife and create a bullet after it with the same speed, so it would have a bullet trail behind the knife... That'd be the point...

how about not have a trail similar to the bullet for the knife but something similar and very transparent, like a swirly, transparent, thin line. thats how i'd imagine it and it would look good.
cool

I'm all for it. Maybe it'd get rid of all the invisible knives.

(also, completely impossible to script)
