Xbox 360 Games (Or lack thereof)
« on: August 05, 2006, 06:26:52 pm »
I just played the Saints Row demo, and I was quite dissapointed, so I thought I'd complain about it here.

My main problem with the demo wasn't the gameplay, which was okay, or the graphics, which were pretty good.

The story sucked. In GTA San Andreas, you actually cared about the characters. In Saints Row, you play a gang banging pimp.

Dead Rising sucked also. Prey? Sucked. Oblivion? Lasted about three weeks and then I was bored. All of the other games are just PC ports.

WHERE ARE THE 360 GAMES? The only game in the near future that I can look forward to is Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and that isn't out for months. What the hell is going on here? Worst spent money ever.

I mentioned Oblivion, and as I said, am bored with it. I have literally done everything there is to do twice. With crappy 3 dollars add ons that can easily be made for the pc in tes construction set, I'm finished with that until an expansion.

Yeah, I'm still playing Morrowind on PC every once in a while, it just never gets boring. And Bloodmoon is an awesome expansion as well.

Also: Oblivions leveling is the stupidest thing ever done in a game. EVER. Bethesda should be slapped upside the face for doing that.

Oblivion was great, but I felt it lacked diversity, as far as weapons/equipment, and exploring went. Those caves.... seen one, seen em all. I hate going in them now. The ruins are fun though.

And yeah, the levelling system sucks. So does being a vampire until you finally work out how to cure it. (I didn't want to look online hehe). 8)

Yeah, Oblivion had way to much focus on graphics, which ended up making the experience a whole lot worse in the long run because Bethesda got lazy.

Dude the game is great and they added great stuff into it.  Every game will have its bad parts but if your emo about it of course its not gonna come up to par.

I enjoyed the hell out of it while it lasted, I'm just saying it didn't have as much depth in the long run. It was way to repetitive.

AND DONT YOU EVER CALL ME EMO, YOU FILTHY PIECE OF ****

*ahem*... excuse me...

There's Geometry Wars and... and...  :-X Honestly, the only "full" 360 game that remotely appeals to me is Dead or Alive 4, and even then I'm hardly a huge fan of the series. I'm still waiting for the library to improve, which is easier now thanks to the free PC Geometry Wars clone, Grid Wars.

Random thought: The console MMO's are going to be a joke, no way are they going to be able to pull that off.

That's what I thought it was. Reminds me of that South Park episode called Manbearpig where all of the rock formations look like penises.
