My opinion is i agree with gnoblar, yet, this version should not go further until we get to a 1.5.4 fully corrected version or so. Also, i believe that instead of the game itself being publicized, the forum itself should also be target of publicity. (i'm sorry if i'm posting something someone already said, didn't really had the time to read everything)

What to change (to the current soldat, NOT LOOKING AT BUGS!)

Make the menus better! They are just plain boxes. Beef em up!
Or:
Make them changeable (like weapons & interfaces) and make it saveable on each account (Register only).

Make the MP3 player thing easier.. I have made like 10000 playlists trough Winamp, and none worked -.-

Inside the MP3 folder make a .txt, where you can just make a list:

Example2.mp3
Example3.mp3
ect ect, just like "Includes.txt" in soldat scripting :)

Add some more music :) 2 more would be OK (Register only?)

Laser sight?, next to the sniper line (maybe even a check box, to select them both if you really feel like?) A red dot that apears anywhere where you aim :)

The same effect would happen with players, when you aim behind the enemy. you can see a dot on them!

I don't think redesigning the menus is all that interesting, but being able to change the colors of them would be awesome.

What we need to do right now isn't implementing more features...Not before we fix at least those bugs that were results of 1.5
After that, we can add SMALL Changes.
But now it's the bugs.

Alright:

Things to do:

Link spam soldat, making it's simple 2Dness and lack of über computer needed goodness the forefront of it.

Someone make a trailer, post it on YouTube in the new delicious HD feature and link spam it (without being a pain).

Wait until 1.5.1, MAYBE 1.5.2, but I'm assuming 1.5.1 will have many bugs removed, I trust EnEsCe. When that comes out...LINK SPAM!!!

It isn't hard to make a sensible topic in a forum saying "A really cool game I found" just make sure you're not annoying everyone.

Maybe make the forums have a nicer colour, something friendlier. Don't grtbme wrong, I love the greyish colour, it suits soldat, but it may look a little dim to newcomers. That's probably just me though..,

It's supposed to look simple and normal just to fit the taste of the game itself. And not distract you from the easiness of handling the forums...

Haha, I'm on Hyves... well sort of, I guess. I joined the "Praat mar Frysk" group. Fryslan O'er Alles!!!

I'm still waiting on word about the gaming convention/expo thing here. So far I've only heard whispers. Calgary is so dull sometimes.
I might advertise a meet and greet possibly at SAIT Polytechnic here (where I work). We have a lot of gamers and a lot of students here love physics.

The good features and excellent gameplay outway the slightly annoying occasional bugs.
