Something I was thinking of that would be fun to add to this mod
is a zombie modification....feel free to give me ideas for it.



In this thread I will Be posting previews of weapons (and other interface related things) as well as asking for opinions,criticism and comments.

(As a note...I'm thinking of changing the name of this mod because now that I think of it "To End All Wars" it the name of a WWII Movie  ::))

Looking nice from what I can tell, but that's not a whole lot. Post the zoomed out versions alongside the large images.

Yeah please don't zoom them in, it looks horrible.

Looks good though, nice variety.

Also, some ideas for weapon balance, bolt actions are two hit kill (one HS) with long fire interval and very short start up time. Make the snipers the same as Barrett, and make the minigun a vickers.

They're just some ideas.

Well American/British/Australian all looked the same really, so you should make an "Allied" Gostek. Then German gosteks, then Russian, there's no real need for Ottoman Infantry, though the more the merrier!

Take a look at a world map of the opposing sides during WWI.  That might give you a better idea of just how to break up your gosteks. 

All I see now is a bunch of white guys duking it out.  That, and the whole gun thing other people pointed out.

For gosteks you should make frech soldiers, the battles in France were really important.

save the images as bmp or png just to improve resolution.

For now the weapons a really great, some TW servers should have a mod like that one, if you make a great .ini

As for battles the miracle at the marne will (hopefully be one)

Another cool map would be Jutland (you could have 2 ships side by side)

I'll come up with more Ideas later

And now that I think about it I will need a map maker to help me (I can't map for my life)

And finally can some one help me with the Lewis's mag?

WWI was not known for a large variety of weapons the world was just starting to use machine guns after all.....

Dont make the ingame saw with the "smoke", but mod the chainsaw-fire, as for the interface saw, less of that "smoke"

Well all non-school related things are to be put on stand by until exams finish, which is after next week. Then I'll finish 2057AD and make your maps, with a muddy and rainy feel.

Maybe it's because host auto-conversion after upload... Some image hosters converts uploaded .bmp into .jpg, so try save screenshots in .png before uploading into photobucket or tinypic. Or add picture using attachment to post.

a good image hoster is imageshack.us since they don't really convert any pic unless you tell them to do so. but anyway, nice work, its breath of fresh air in the modding industry... if you know what i mean :)

The MK III has a grenade launching attachment (this is why it takes the place of the M79)

I'm at a roadblock I don't know what to use for the HK or the Spas please help...

Because overall Autos and Rifles from WWI were Very large (for instance the Lewis was operated by 2 men not 1)

2) put explosion into a folder you call sparks-gfx

Bayonet, its even bigger than the gostek.

The most weapons overall, also, the socom placement should be a bit closer to the body, and some minor alignment stuff.

And wth are the clusters?

Is the bayonet bigger? no the rifle + the bayonet is...but i still will shrink it.....

Yep I do have some alignment problems...I'll work on that...

Don't worry about the clusters....I'm still messing with them.

Sort of make it smaller....but more solid so that it looks like its coming form a single place, because it looks more like a spontaneous combustion not a explosion from a grenade.

Dont make opinion based on polls for things like THIS. There is always need for zombie themed mods because playing only with Boogie Mans on zombie maps is not enough. And even best scripts on servers without good graphics and sounds is not full satisying. Zombie mode with zombie mod (not just only bots, scripts or maps) is complete zombie experience.

I'll add the zombie expansion after I have finished the main mod its self (the main reason) I quit last time was because I had overwhelmed myself by adding to many side projects.

Finished up the Sfx today, and the interface along with most of the txt and the .ini, but i still need to make the last set of gosteks, and clean up the first set.

I'm kind of ticked off with myself right now, mainly because I HAD team 2 gosteks that I made when I first started this mod, but somehow I guess they got deleted, so I have to start from scratch.

Other news: I have the sfx 99.2 % finished and the interface is 100 % finished, although there are some bugs that I need to work out with the weapons-gfx.

So all in all I hope to be finished very shortly.

I know what you mean, and I would be also...soooo... you got any sound files of battle cries?
because I have looked, and can't find any. (BTW thats the 0.8 % of the Sfx that isn't finished)

LOL! I'll be a few (meaning like 2 or 3) days still until I feel ready to post the mod, so there is no "real" rush to get sfx.
