voted for XM214 Minigun . I mean seriously, how many kills can you make with that gun? One second to start spinning, pretty low damage, inaccurate in realistic mode because of the big recoil etc.

long range > close

anything can kill very well on close range, even more granades.

Being a close-range-only-weapon is not a attribute, its a flaw. Any other close weapon can own eagle, mostly spas/m79/mp5 on alt route.

I think the barret needs higher fire intervall. Once I played against a hacker in a CW. They lost but his K/D was obviously great ... even someone with no aimbot but with some decent skills will be raping any automatic gun user. And don´t try to argue with bink. Bink is not working the way it should imo, sometimes I hit (binked!) people 8 times in a row with the barret.

Ruger is overpowered, too. 2 shots to the head and you´re done. Ever saw a gun with which you were able to kill 2 enemies with full health in 2 seconds (just take a look at the defaults.ini; 90 ticks are equal to 1,5 seconds, 30 ticks are equal to 0,5 seconds). High damage on high range is just one thing that makes the ruger overpowered.

USSOCOM is overpowered because of the low reload time. I say nothing against the damage it deals.

Bink is not working the way it should imo, sometimes I hit (binked!) people 8 times in a row with the barret.

There's a 1/3 chance of hitting on a longer range.

These weapons respect the real stuff in real life. You can't just modify the bullet capacity of a gun. It's like saying  hey, let's make barrett automatic.

Seems like bullet capacity can be changed!

Jees, if people really don't think its useful, maybe get rid of it and add another gun. Possibly some kinda laser based weapon. Slow to fire, but deals high damage? I dunno maybe even another shot gun, which would make a nice change, use the AA12 from MW2.

NEW WEAPONS This would invite even more weapon-balance issues, disrupt Soldat's file layout, mess up functionality of old mods, etc. Besides, you can already edit weapons.ini ;)

MM think that minigun deserves to be there as a "funny weapon"

Btw its usefull sometimes, like the last resort to try a last tie cap

We have to look at each weapons highest potential and ask for small tweaks. I guess we really are talking about small tweaks at this point in time.

I think minimi -1/2 dmg is enough to make a rather well balanced wm.

They intend to power up all guns, remove self-bink and lower the movementacc next version, if you'd refer to the beta's weapon balance. Also not directly stated in the weapon.ini is the fact that you can only reload the Spas 32 ticks after firing, so that you can't exploit the ammo system to make Spas have essentially infinite ammo.

The semis are pretty good, the autos I don't think are that well balanced (I think there's a bit of bias towards Aug and against MP5, while Minimi feels like crap). Considering the goal of the balance is to reach 1.2.1 damage level, it'd probably be nice to buff semis further and then buff autos only slightly and buff 1-hitters a bit more after this current balance. Of course, assuming some new weapon-balancing feature isn't implemented like aim-lag.

DE?! I personally think DE is the most balanced weapon in Soldat.
