echo signing out
« on: May 24, 2009, 12:04:06 pm »
Hello boys.
I've had some personal problems for quite a time now, problems that has taken me through some serious ups and downs. These mainly include drugs and alcohol, and if you mix in a broken heart, shake it and pour it on rocks of desperation, you've basically got me sitting in my apartment updating the forums and facebook for any sign of human life.

I've had a depression for some time now, one that I've only recently accepted or even acknowledged. I've always been a man to speculate far too much, and the more I think about this stuff, the deeper I get in the hole I've dug. It seems I keep thinking things will be better tomorrow, and as time goes by, I slowly come to accept the sucky place I'm at. However, having spoken to a girl I know all night about it, I've come to realise that it's time to act if I wanna get out of it. It is itme I change my life, and put up with everything that keeps me down. I'm sorry to say that includes you guys, not so much because of you, but because of the time this place consumes from me. I need to get out.

So, let me not bother you with further details, and let's get down to business. I am hereby stepping down as a moderator and active forumer. I'm going to go away for however long, and I don't think I'm coming back. Some of you I'll keep contact with, you know who you are. To the rest of you, good luck with everything. I'll stick around until tomorrow for any questions you might have.

It's been fun getting to know you all. I'm thankful for the advice you've given me in the past, it actually has made a difference. So take care, the lot of you, and wish me luck. Hope to be back at some point.
Yours truely,
echo

I will miss you too Echo you are an awesome person.  Enjoy life and I hope you have fun, and hopefully you get out of your depression. :)
I've been a bit depressed myself lately but nothing as bad as what you have.  :'(

Mind if we still keep in contact somehow?

Thanks for the kind words, lads. I'll miss this place.

And Demonic, we certainly do. I think I still have your FB. Who knows, if I pull my shit together I may actually be able to afford going on that interrail we talked about. ;)

Mind if we still keep in contact somehow?

Certainly, mate. My skype's easethebeat, and my e-mail's listed in the profile.

im not sure if youre aware of this but just incase you arent you should know that your life will not get better after ditching your current activities. your unhappiness comes from either the amount of time you feel wasted in whichever way or the depression which stems from it. there are underlying issues you have which cant be solved by running away. i dont have a clear answer for you to take away but i just thought you should realise that youre going to have to accept that you will most likely still feel unhappy. acknowledging that life sucks a lot sometimes makes it easier to adjust your perception of what you need to be happy and you should also find enjoying supplements of happiness much easier

nice speaking to you for the past couple of years

You have no idea how much it saddens me that you're leaving, mate. You're one of my best pals EVOR. Still, like I already told you, I'm glad that you can separate yourself from something when you realize that you need to. Good luck improving your life, and make sure to keep in touch, ya cunt. <3

@Panzer, yes I'm aware that such issues do not disappear just because you turn your back on them. And I don't mean to, I just need to build up the energy to deal with'em, and I can't do that while they're in my face. But thanks though.

And Dim, thanks. I'll miss you most of all, you prick. :)

I've seen some of your posts mate and I came to learn that you're a fair person, you judge by instinct AND thoughtfulness. So it'll be a shame losing a guy like you even though I don't know you. All I can say is good luck in your pursuit of a better self, and I hope you'll get there someday. Seeing as you're strong enough to admit it to yourself you'll probably pull through this. Take care.

Take it easy mate, you will be greatly missed...

I wish you all the best in the coming chapters of echo's world.

I must say that I will also miss you, you're a good guy.

I'm sure you've heard this before and you may not believe it, but that's irrelavent in my mind, because God does in fact love you. Hate me if you want, lol, but it's my responsibility to tell you that you can turn to Him, please keep that in mind as you work to pick yourself up, because He wants to help if you want Him to!

Peace buddy.

It's a shame I missed the chance to talk with you, to know you, echo, because you always looked like some guy you had to know here around. Anyways this is not time to get sad or guilty, go ahead, continue your life, and hopefully, in a better way.

Cheers.  ;)

I know this ain't very appropriate to say, but you do realize that without your presence, many kind folks like yourself might also leave this community, not? :/
You aren't just somebody, you've won many people's sympathy (mine included) and without you here, more decency will leave.

You have the guts for realizing your situation and even sharing it with us. You have the balls to take action, so use'em and we'll see you in another life (your new, stable life).

And do come by every once in a while. You'll always be remembered.

Edit: I hope at the very least, that the ones who leave after you, will follow your example for a better life.

This might kinda make it harder for him man.
But hey echo, even though some people might leave, it won't be your fault, cause it was THEIR decision just like this is yours.
