I agree, I have no problems using the saw, infact I use it at a ping of 200+ and I can kill easly.

It is possibly the most powerful secondary weapon there is. Of course it needs no improvment! Lying at your base behind some bushes with the chainsaw out you can get many kills before the other team spots you.

I just use the chainsaw as a novelty weapon, becuase it was never ment to be in league with the guns.

In my opinion the chainsaw serves no purpose in soldat except a bit of fun and is basically a total joke weapon, i put it on par with the minigun or less. Anyone who actualy thinks this weapon is on par with the rest of them is complety fooling themselves. The knife serves nearly the exact same purpose only you can throw it, so i sorta don't see any point in it at all other than mucking around. Seriously buffing it is useless because a melee weapon was always going to be useless in soldat professional gaming.

Chainsaw is not a weapon you could improve, it's not equal either.
It's a weapon made to be for FUN. if you don't like it, don't use it.

Well, the one "improvment" that would be welcome would really be that we get the no kill glitch fixed (as good as possible) and faster weaponchange. That would be great, becouse you could whip out the chainsaw faster in close combat. Currently, I get a feeling that in the time it takes for me to change to chainsaw, I could already have shot the enemy into pieces.

I think that when a player would holding the fire button when he's dead the chainsaw should stay turned on until it runs out of ammo so it could killsomeone if its droped in the time of death

I wouldnt say Chainsaw is useless...Its the how you use it, same as M79 either your a noob with it..or your a pro with it...Theres no in between, Usually people think Camping at the enemy base rackin spawnkills, and goin prone at a box is a "effective tactic". Those people who camp with the saw, really arent using the saw and are noobs. Those who go offensive and actually use the saw outside of the spawn points are the ones who "USE" the saw, I seen them dodge bullets, nades, and cut through half the team without stopping. The weapon doesnt need to be improved, the user does.

That said, it should probably be made a 1 hit kill, but other than that, I think it's intended primarily to be a fun weapon, as someone higher up on the page mentioned.  As such it doesn't really need serious improvement.  You shouldn't expect to be at the top of the scoreboard when you're using it.

It's not a joke weapon, guy. It's a great weapon when used correctly; The way you suggested is not a very good chainsaw strategy.
