Weapons.ini editing - using Flaming Arrows
« on: May 31, 2009, 06:56:15 am »
Hi all.

I've just tried to change bullet style of M79 to Flame Arrow but when i hit somebody, i will be kicked by server for cheating. Is possible to use it without problems?

If you use a changed weapons.ini (not as a mod) online you get kicked, are you hosting a server or joining? If you join and dont use a mod do this:

1) Get the original weapons.ini and save it as weapons+.ini in the Soldat folder
2) Cut out weapons.ini (modded) and create a new folder named like ´MOD XXX´ in your mod folder of Soldat
3) Paste the modded .ini into the new created folder
4) Go back into your Soldat folder and rename weapons+.ini to weapons.ini
5) Start the Soldat Mod Starter and select the name of your modfolder
6) Click on START and there you go

The mod will work just offline with bots, if you play online the original will be used or the modded .ini of the server.

I'm not sure but try setting "Disable_AntiCheat_Kick=1" from soldat.ini

It helps but I can't kill anybody with the weapon now - it takes all HP except last 1% (it looks like god mode).

Umm, maybe you can give damage using scripts.

I think it has to do something that ec removed the bow (and probably the bullet types also) from other game types except for rambomatch.
Ask him on mirc that.
Last year, I dreamt I was pissing at a restroom, but I missed the urinal and my penis exploded.

Try setting the gamemode to rambomatch, and try then to use the weaponmod.

If it works, im right about removing the flamearrow and arrow from the game, if not, then im not sure.

Also, if i understood good, the weapon mod is for the server, or client (player) usage?

Weapon mod is on the server side. Of course, it works in RamboMatch but I'm trying to run it on other usual mods like CTF, TDM or DM. I think it's impossible to do it, it works in RamboMatch only.
