Linux wireless help?

HI, I'm new with linux... Just got it.Its nearly all good except for the fact that my external wireless adapter aint working. As I am totaly new I have no idea how to use the terminal thing... like blank zelch! So I implore you for a very slow step by step procedure... got the driver and ndiswrapper but no idea on how to use them....I implore you guys for help

Check the General Discussions thread for Soldat on Wine.

Just do a Google search for your wireless adapter and Linux, you're practically guaranteed to find a guide on setting it up.

Try installing one of the graphical front ends to ndiswrapper so you don't need to use the command line as much. Either find the package ndisgtk using the Synaptic Package Manager and install it from there or type the following command in a terminal:

sudo apt-get install ndisgtk

Then proceed to opening it, probably from the System > Administration menu, click Install New Driver, and select the windows driver for your card. That might solve your problem.
There are other worlds than these
