Radio Broadcasting problems
« on: August 06, 2006, 02:26:40 pm »
Hi;
I'm sitting here at 4-5 in the morning, and I'm bored. I've been searching for hours on  free alternatives to broadcasting radio stations. I want to make one for my clan, but I'm having trouble with some parts.

1) When it says "source Server" I put my FTP server as a check, and it doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong here, or will it just not work?

2) I tried running the server straight off my box (the computer) and nobody but me can connect to it. I tried putting "localhost" in the url place (source server) and I even put the 127.0.0... in the source server box and nothing happens.

3) I tried the "Shoutcast" option for winamp, and it crashes the computer.

4) VirtualDJ has an option to broadcast over the net, but once again I am stuck with the same problems of not knowing what the Source Server or URL link/text is meant to be.

Any help?
Just another soul to burn.
