Yea! I've had to use Windows only for games. But Linux is fast becoming a major player in the OS arena and Soldat needs to follow the latest "fashion" if it wants to maintain its popularity.

I've said this many time but if you havent been at Shoozza's IRC-channel yet, this is the chance!

You can use wine to emulate windows, it works with quite a few programs

We know that. It is hard work and it will take much time. If we're not playing it anymore when it's done, at least we have done cross-platform Soldat. And the new players have a ready game and they can play it natively on Linux without any rumbling with Wine or so.

Well, it took years to develop Soldat as it self into the state what it is now. So, soldatPorted isn't an exception. I have time to wait for it.

I think that this project is a bit unrealistic without Soldat source code. If SoldatPorted will exist, only with source code. Without it, its like build game from ruins. Hope for cooperation between enesce and shoozza.

Yeah, there's no soldatPorted if there's no source code. Shoozza should be let to join the Dev team, EnEsCe would give the source code and all devs should be able to co-operate just like you said.

Shoozza will not be getting the source code since he tried to blackmail and intimidate the developers to give him the code via threats. Acting in such a way is not 'Dev Team' material, and instantly abolished any chance of cooperation between us. Sadly, that is the bottom line. Evidently he neglected to tell you that before you joined his futile campaign...

Think of it as you are buying a video game.
As far as i found out this is one of the rare sites where you can buy xp, as it is discontinued by microsoft, though there probably still exist computer shops that might install oem windows xp (be warned though, as they might dont install the oem version).
