Well this is my first stab at an r/s map, was somewhat inspired to make one by Kamikazi's newest map :P.  Setting is a sleepy town in Europe (based on the flag, somewhere in the Netherlands) assaulted by opposing sides.  Action should centered around the fountain in the Plaza area.

I don't play r/s mode too often but I looked at a few of the maps for reference - if I have anything drastically wrong with this map, please point it out! (it's the only way I'll learn :-[).  Hope you like it, happy killing ;).

Looks very good, but you need more scenery behind all so it looks more realistic

I'm not a big fan of lots of background scenery.  I put a few low-opacity mountains in the back, I think the players will be more distracted by the bullets flying at them to notice detailed backdrops :P.

Looks intresting but kinda random. Like one forest and two city maps where combined togather. I suggest to change middle Ava-like buildings to something like your other buildings. And to replace forest parts with some urban landscape (like some park?)
Also i don't like that ground has same concrete texture as buildings...

@VTT- Yes I'm sorry for single-texturing, multi would seem a bit more appropriate but... honestly I suck too much at it to even try.  Trust me, it would end up looking much worse.  As for the forests, it was the look I was going for.  Since it would take a tremendous amount of scenery and space to make a perfect transition from woodland to town, I compressed it.  It may seem a little cartoonish to do so but I don't think it looks TOO terrible :P

@Snake, Kirin - thank you  :P :)

You could turn this out in some kind of urban tw map... Anyways the colors seem to be nicely chosen, and same goes for the scenery.

I was thinking about that... but I think to make it longer and add more buildings... I'd probably run out of scenery before it was long enough for TW.  And thank you :)

Glad to see you finally submit it. Maybe if you plan on making a bigger map like TW size you could create custom scenery with thrown together buildings/bunkers to avoid the scenery limit you always seem to max out. :)

That'd be the smart thing to do :P  Maybe when I have some time I'll try to add to it.. :)

Looks really nice! Good use of a single texture. I don't play enough RS to know what it should be like, but hopefully you'll get some good gameplay feedback from someone who does. Regardless, very beautiful map, good job.

Good thing your map contains some complex buildings. Without those, your map would have looked as a town trenchwar and would have been far too simple. Very well built, and great graphics.

I can not really give you advice, except to do a larger/bigger town, but as it is now, it is okay for sure :D

Cool map and design...reminds me a coincidence though not worth mentioning.
