Run (remake for contest)

Goal is to keep the original feel of run and making it fun also at 3on3. It's still going to be long map, but not gigantic as original.

I'm mostly stressed about bottom route, since it's amazingly good made at original version. Hopely I'll do fine with it. I'm also aiming at easier entrance from bottom to bases.

With looks I try keep some originality, for example, colors, texture and long polysupports.

Like it, Run was always fun for me, but it was way too big.  Great remix that does the original justice  :)

Always thought a big bouncy would be cool for the inside wall of the base, so you could grab the flag and zoom out :D
For signatures, you are allowed only one image in your signature which may not be wider and taller than 300 and 125 pixels, and may not be over 20kB in file size. No BMPs are allowed.

i like the new size & meds placement but the old polygon layout + style is way better imo ;;

True artist work isn't made to be copied.

You could change the layout a bit, but keep the coloring style and so on, or else it loses ANY feeling with the original map.

I love Run's assymetrical polygons.  Your remake looks really cool, I'd like to test it sometime.

I'm with Martty on this one.  The shading in the original is probably the best of old school maps.

I'm with Martty on this one.  The shading in the original is probably the best of old school maps.

With artist I meant MM (though not 100% sure if he's creater of Run), if someone understood wrong. At some parts his polygon work is damn awesome especially polygons between bottom and middle. But well as you can see MM's been lazy with roof and red/blue bases. As for looks my favourite of MM is Viet, damn superb!

I'm actually planning to make it assymetrical, especially bottom route. I believe middle and top will be pretty much symmetrical (at least the number of polyislands on top).

Medikits aren't written in stone. That's my goal to make it prefering attacker. In my view, this kind of medikit solution should prefer attacker, since they get full hp before they attack in base, and defenders can't just camp in the medics. But yeah it's true now that once player get the flag, he can't get full hp there, which makes me not 100% sure about the medics.

About medikit places right now, the medics propably begin to pile up on bottom route, since there are less players to use them. I try find solution for that too.

Yes, if anything, make the bottom route asymmetrical :D

Hey, they look pretty simmilar. Cool work on the remake, hopefully we could get it going in servers.

Tried it out, doesn't feel the same. It's too short.
