Try resetting the comp, otherwise a quick reinstall should fix it.

I have this problem too.

As i play the demo, in the start it gives the acces violation thnigy, but lets me play the demo. But when the demo plays, every player is just warping there like their ping was 400+.

Also it plays the demo only for a minute, then players just run to walls like they were disconnected but physically in the server, and there's a message in the chat: "Invalid demo file" or "Packet size: PlayerlistMsg1517 rs259". The demo stops there but its still running except no1 is moving and if i press F8, instead of fast-forwarding the demo, it just starts recording a demo of the demo [??]

Edit: I also noticed that when i leave the demo, under the IP box it says: "Incomtaible demo, header mismatch"

Please Help

You Must:
1. Reinstall... (or download latest version)
2. Turn off all working programs (no soldat)...
3. If point 1 doesn't work and point 2 haven't any include look at point 4
4. Just look at the point 1.
5. Have fun ;)

1.5 have errors in the demos. I guess it may be because of the added features like ammo and such?
somebody should talk to enece about this, so that he doesn't skip this part for fixing.

I only have this at demo's with the rejoin bug.

Sometimes they do work but just stop at the wrong moment. They just get the same thing Soulblade has at other times.

If you're going to do demo's, best is to stick with a copy of 1.4.2 for now. Something is fucking it up in 1.5. Of course, it does suck, when you want to play demos of online games, however, recording in 1.5 works normal, it's just playing them back sucks. I wonder, since 1.4.2 is close to 1.5, if 1.5 demos could be played on 1.4.2.
You'd have to make sure you have the up to date maps, scenery, textures, etc. AFAIK, you can only play demos that belong to a specific version, but if 2 versions were close enough, it would be interesting to see.

I got that packetsize error too...it plays the demo normal for a bit, then the soldat players just start running into walls and it eventually quits the demo with an error.

My demos also get corrupted. Whenever I try to check them out Ill get loads of Access Violations and finally "Redirect to xxx.xxx.xxx?". Tried to send one of those demos to Soulie but he couldnt get them to work neither. Annoying thing when youre trying to record some material...  :(

A demo player won't fix the problem, as the problem is in Soldat.

I think the demo-feature must be re-programmed or something

Demo's recorded online are corrupt due to a server-client synchronization bug. I have already fixed it for Soldat 1.5.1, however the demo's will remain corrupt when replayed with 1.5.1 (Because the demo's themselves are corrupted, not the playback feature).
