Ive been using this statement for some time now..... i might as well share it with ya...Â

Players who spam and call each others N00b and flaming each other in soldat is something that cant be avoided...

So one match while i whas playing i calmly said: "ONLY NOOBS CALLS OTHERS NOOB!!"[/Color]

People first where just all "Shut up" in the beginning, but eventually when i keept saying it people starded to agree with me (or at least shut up!) and the flaming stopped... and the match could go on.... ^^

Ive kept on using it ever since......

I wonder... do i have a point in my statement, or shall swallow my words?Â

I've said that before, and it didn't do anything hehe.

But we're basically calling ourselves noobs at the same time $:-\$

I only call someone a noob when it's really obvious. Camping with minigun, trying to hide in bushes during a DM noobishly, (they can't even camp correctly) moving slowly across the map because they're not "skipping"/during a firefight, not avoiding nades on the ground, simply holding down the mouse button in hopes to kill with an auto, not knowing how to use the law, not switching to secondary, the list goes on.

Only n00bs use the word "noob", IMHO. That, and people who have no idea what the words mean or are too lazy to hit the key above "O".

In order to make sure people know each of the words:

newb = newbie = new player, such as one who doesn't know how to play inf, how the law works, and most majors.
n00b = one who plays like a newb after over a month, uses newbish tactics/weapons, such as close-ranging with 1-hit kill primaries, camping under the flag, saying "hit", saying words like "omg", "hax" after dying, saying words like "owned" after 1 kill.
noob = explained earlier.

I think you're right there. Then again, I almost never call anybody a n00b. Whenever somebody says that, I respond with "You're the M79 user", since those are usually the people who call people n00bs.
My variation on that statement is "Only n00bs call people noobs".

If you have a point? I'll say you have a point when you say all the flaming could be avoidied - Not that it ever will be anyway.

I've always thought it was better to discuss the problem in a civilised way, when ever one should come along, but to think 2 people would actually face eachother politely after a "hey you tk'ed me on purpose" incident, and drag it out long would simply be naiv, not to mention rather stupid.
I never liked all that "FU n00b"ing that's around, but the curcomstances considered, I think we're lucky that's as far as it's gone.

Last night i had a match, and all of red team were noobs like this.

One was camping with the minigun...before he can even start it up I knife him, then there came the wana-be knifers...then the m79ers that couldn't hit a pile of shit.

Seriously. The m79ers......One of them had a clear shot at me, and insted tryed to do some "cool" flight backflip shit, and in the middle of it I knife him. Funny as hell.
