Is your scripted dedicated server stable ?
« on: June 28, 2009, 09:20:51 am »
My current server is rock stable but quite old machine. I want to move to a better one but these damn access violations follow me whatever dedicated box I have tried. So is your server stable with heavy scripts enabled ? And if it is what's your server specifications and your OS ?

have a couple of them but this one works for me at least:
Core 2 duo 2 ghz
2 gb ram
Gentoo
using my own developed ssm monitoring program for soldat servers that restarts them if they crash. also restarts my soldat servers like 04:00 every night. and its very rare that I get any access violations that crashes the servers.

Core 2 Quad 2.6Ghz
4gb Ram
CentOS 5.3
I get a few access vios here and there on my zombie survival server but it runs extremely stable for a rather large script. I also have an self-made automatic server-restarter to instantly restart servers that blow themselves into a zombie process or crash altogether.

How long does it take for access vios to show up for ya leo? Like 5 minutes in, an hour in, etc.

We haven't had any reported problems regarding our clients soldat servers crashing. Although we use mainly Windows 2008 64 Bit on high end hardware such as Dual Quad Cores 5410's / 8GB / 2 x 250GB HDD's.
