Since I have been inactive for a long time now, and I hardly ever play Soldat (maybe an hour a week), I think it is time to leave the scene for good. My real life is already occupying most of my time and will be occupying even more while Im looking forward to study political science, beginning in upcoming october.
I will return from time to time and maybe drop a line or two, but Ill stay away from most of Soldat related administration and the clan scene. I still think Soldat is a great little game, but after about 3 years of playing and contributing, its enough. I got to know a lot nice and friendly people, as well as I met some ***hats. Lots of trust and responsibility was put on me, as I joined the ESL and Selfkill administration and became mapping mod. Finally, I was able to change some things, though not all the things I wanted. Also, Im proud of having created several default maps and a default interface. Yet judging me and my efforts is up to others.

I wish the community all the best, but I also wish that it becomes more newbie-friendly, for its own sake. There are also lots of people who deserve special thanks, but if I listed them Id for sure forget half of the names. I guess those who Id mention do know that theyre meant (at least I hope so)

Besides collecting some of my maps for a farewell mappack, Ive begun working on a remake of the first map Ive ever released publicly, called "Freefloat" (in fact ive begun already 3 weeks ago, but a system crash some days ago threw me back to level zero). Its maybe the last Soldat map Ill ever release, but for sure its the last map Ill release for a long time to come.

Well that's right we haven't seen you a lot lately... real life always has the last word eh.
You were the best map mod ever, and I'm sure lots of users around here will regret you.
Your (excellent) maps will witness your contributions to the community for a long time anyway.
