ctf_DivisionRmx [WIP]

Basic layout:




Basically I changed the bases, enlarged the tunnel. added some OPC polygons that will be fences to be able to nade the low route (I will remove the ones in the ceiling) and added the 2 stones in the middle. Don´t mind the 2 bridges, they are just placeholders.

What do you think? What to change?

But that wouldn´t be ctf_Division, I want just to make the gameplay better and not screw it up by distant airfights :)



New screenshot with my newest changes: I removed the OPC in the ceiling, worked on the basic layout (especially the low route) and did a first coloring. I don´t know how to do it so I ask you Photoshop experts out there: Are you willing to make me the fences for the OPC polygons? I include the .PMS in this post so you can see what you can do. I will give you credits for your help ;)



EDIT:





Very little changes at the basic layout, more coloring and working on the scenery. I added polygonsupports at the toproute and changed the background colors. Also I´ve let all polygons fade to black so it looks better :P Has anybody suggestions for the rest of the scenery?

Too fancy bg scenery, keeping bg simple doesnt ruin anything (basic bg + smoke/fog elements), but using such bg makes me angry... The rest looks nice.

Bottom area bg scenery. It's too heavy. Just simple plain/smooth bg is the best.

I've never liked any of tunnel bg scenery (except blank), looks sexy in overview, sucks on game.

If you want to see how it is in game, see the attachment in this post. I tested it in game and I think it is great, but I want to hear more than my own opinion :) I included a scenery in the mappack that is not used on the map actually because I am working on it at the moment. It is polygonbased so that I can work on it easily. What do you think I should do with it? (name is DC-DivisionTor.PNG)


EDIT:

I worked a bit on the background scenery. I added 3 barrels on the low route (2 on the floor, 1 in the ceiling) to enable boosting and avoid a little bit of spraying.



Is the scenery on the right side too big? Should I make it smaller?

Theyre both too big, heavy for fps and not stylish at all. I suggest you remove them.

:( Well, I will have to try out 2 different versions of the map. With and witout the scenery. But please don´t refer to this topic anymore, this is an older version that you can see since I released it already.
