Well a gig of RAM is plenty.
Depends on how much money you have really. Spend as much as you are able then you won't have to upgrade very soon, whcih saves you money in the long run.
Stock graphics cards are usually the problem. However when you buy things you shouldn't only look at a few numbers. A processor has its speed. But Celerons are always worse than anything else. Then you need to check how quickly it reads RAM, if it reads RAM slowly theres no point in getting fast RAM. If the cache is small its slow as well. In this pc I have a 1/8mb cache. In the new one I'll get 4mb.

The main problem is cost really. If your pc is old you may need a new motherboard, which costs a lot because you might need completely new stuff.

However I'd first check your graphics card and processor, they are the main things in a pc.
I'll email you a list of graphics cards to see how yuor compares to others.

Wow, my computer was probably made by the same company. Except mine is newer, 'cause the computer has like, red lights and two buttons. Also my monitor is black.
