Some thoughts
« on: August 08, 2006, 05:10:43 am »
I write this **** up when I'm bored and post it on gayspace, might as well share. Whatever.

Life is about people. It's about connections.

It's not about cocks, and ass, and tits. And butthole pleasures. It's not about these rusty trombones, and these dirty sanchez, and these Cincinnati bowties, and these pussy juice cocktail, and these shit stained balls.

Image of a young man, just entering adult life, making important decisions with a booklet in his hand, biting on a pen. Common situation for high school graduates.

To tell the truth I was very stressed out about this whole college thing. I was very careful choosing my major. I wanted something fun, but at the same time I took the adult approach of choosing something that would give me a good career. Then it hit me.

Life is short. Those 18 years might have been 1 day. It doesn't really matter, because it's past. It's dead. I will never be able to re-live it.

It reminds me of an old "Twilight Zone" episode, where a man named Martin finds himself in his own hometown, just like it was when he was a boy. He remembers all the good memories connected with this place. How wonderful the world was, when he was a little kid. While walking in a park he sees himself as a boy, and following him home, meets his parents. Trying to convince his parents that he is their son from the future, he succeeds only in proving his insanity. Finally, his father confronts him. Having seen the papers in Martin's wallet and now believing him to be who he says he is, he tells him to return to his own time.

Critics call it " the most sensitive dramatic fantasy in the history of television. " because in each one of us is that deep, human feeling of that wants a stress-free life, filled with never ending fun under a blue sky.

Father: "You have to leave here. There's no room, there's no place. Do you understand that?"
Martin: "I see that now, but I don't understand. Why not?"
Father: "I guess because we only get one chance. Maybe there's only one summer to every customer. That little boy, the one I know?the one who belongs here? this is his summer, just as it was yours once. Don't make him share it."
Martin: "Alright."
Father: "Martin, is it so bad where you're from?"
Martin: "I thought so, Pop. I've been living in a dead run and I was tired. And one day I knew I had to come back here. I had to get on the merry-go-round and listen to a band concert. I had to stop and breathe, and close my eyes and smell, and listen."
Father: "I guess we all want that. Maybe when you go back, Martin, you'll find that there are merry-go-rounds and band concerts where you are. Maybe you haven't been looking in the right place. You've been looking behind you, Martin. Try looking ahead."
Life is short. You come from nothing, you go back to nothing. All that matters is the in-between. And the only person it matters to, is you. Have as much fun as you possibly can, and help as many people as you can. There's no time to worry, no time for stress. You decide what happens.

Nothing happens until i make it happen

So this weekend my family decided to go to big bear. "Awesome" - I thought, "House to myself!". But I spent the friday by myself, alone in the house. Why ? Because  I didn't make anything happen.

I haven't called anyone, haven't told anyone, haven't invited anyone over. It could've been the best day of my life if I tried. But it wasn't because I didn't make it happen.

In 10 dimensions string theory, the 5th dimension refers to the idea, that the 4th dimension - time - feels like a straight line to us(moving from the past to the future),  but the line is actually twisting and turning, creating a multitude of paths that we can branch to any given moment.

What I'm trying to say is, you can make anything, ANYTHING, happen if you put your mind to it. And I'm not talking talking about simply inviting friends over to get drunk, I'm talking about fullfilling your dream, getting over your shyness problem, losing weight, and whatever the hell else you can come up with. Your timeline is based on your action.

"Do not be too timid or squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment."

Booyaka.

Why are people lonely

A person is their best hypnotist. Let me explain. When a person gets the feeling that they're unwanted/not accepted/disliked/hated/whatever they will go home, lay on their bed and repeat in their head, conciously and subconciously, that they are hated, disliked etc. and whether it is true or not, they will start believing it(hint: this is called "self-affirmation" and can be used for positive affirmations too, it's very powerful). Now it all depends how the person handles rejection. Just one occurance could cause them to act this way, or it could be after a thousand.

Now the cause doesn't really have to be "rejection" per se. It could be the inability to find friends in the area. The inability to fit in, because of views/race/religion whatever the cause. The person can even have thousands of friends, and be very social, and still in their mind they can convince themselves that their lonely.

Now thing like that is very dangerous. Cause when one convinces oneself that their lonely, only that person can convice themselves otherwise, and this rarely happens without some external event.
Now to quote wikipedia:Chronic loneliness is a serious, life-threatening condition. It is a major risk factor in artery erosion, high blood pressure, and stress-related conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, obesity, and stroke.

So my advice to every lonely person out there is, if you're shy or think you are, learn something cool that can break the ice(I learned magic) go out there and get some friends, then go home and lay on the bed, and repeat to yourself how great you are. Booyakasha, wesside.

-----------------------------------------------------

Paradoxes in life are an extremely powerful tool.

Let me explain what I mean by that. When I was making myself some scrambled eggs I was thinking how teenagers when they for example become vegetarian, they always feel a need to announce it every chance they get. Now I don't eat meat myself, but I never say it, as a matter of fact, my best friend always forgets it, because I never bring it up.

The fact is, if you say it once or twice, it's enough, no one really cares. Which brought me to this point(it was mentioned in Dale Carnagie's book "How to win friends and influence people", I highly recommend it) - the person that people care most about is ... themselves. Think about it, the last time you took a picture with a group of friends, who did you look at first ? Yourself!

Now this is logical. If people care about themselves the most, than if you talk to them about ... them, people are actually gonna listen...and like you! Try it, everyone loves talking about themselves, in a good way preferably. This is a good technique for making new friends or simply making people like you.

Not much of a paradox I admit. It's just the complete opposite of people seem to be doing. Booyaka!

Secret to life inside...

I was reading bunch of threads on one of the online forums I go to, and I've noticed one that said "What are you life goals ?"(sounds familiar ?). Then I thought to myself...what are my life goals ?

After thinking about it for few minutes, it actually came to me, that my goal right now is...to get a goal. Now, having a goal in life is very, very, very important.  Napoleon hill said "All achievements, all earned riches, have their beginning in an idea."

My best friend Jonah once said "You can do anything. You can be the next Bill Gates if you visualize it." Now without having that goal, without being 100% sure what you want, it is very hard to visualize what you want to achieve.

Arnold schwarzenegger when asked "How did you win Mr. Olympia contest after just 5 years of training" responded "Because I know what I want. My opponets train as hard as me, but they have a vague image of where they want to be. I visualize myself as a winner and then I go and attack that dream with everything I have." Arnold would go on and win 7 more Olympia titles, a record which stood for quite a long time.

So remember, KNOW what you want in life. Visualize yourself being there. Visualize the steps. Now go out there and hold on to that dream, and work towards it, attack it with all your body, mind and soul. As long as the mind can conceive it, body can achieve it. Remember the wise words of  Conrad Hilton - “Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don't quit.”

Very good ideas. Enjoyable read and if you collect enough ideas you could publish and book and earn quite a lot.
Visualise it and then do it. :)

Just when I think your skull is as hollow as the idea of putting Micheal Jackson in a kindergarden, you go and write something like this.

What is it with you? Maybe you are intelligent after all..

Still fat though.

I also had that "whole house to myself" thing last weekend and ended up almost drowning in the bath. I also liked the secret of life.

String theory also states that gravitons and unknown particles exist.

We haven't found them yet, it might as well be as viable as fatalism. Infact, even though there are infinite possibilities, for you, there can be only ONE!

Your secret to life is bull****, for it cannot be proven false. If one were to not succeed at their goals, you would just dismiss them as not being able to visualize it. Since our observations are limited to the physical world, its like satan, its a failsafe.

Nice of you to decide that nothing happens unless you make it happen after you had a chance to throw a nice party. >:(

I've used that positive self affirmation to beat a level in a hard game once, works great on tough boss fights.

The last paragraph of the first part was possibly the only part I disagreed with.

In fact you just proved his point. If you find it fun and exciting to twist the perfectly obvious meaning of a post, in pathetic hope of just being noticed, then by all means, go ahead. Don't pay attention to people like me thinking you're a twat, keep your eye on the prize. Whatever you expect it to be..

Thats an easy, yet oblivious way to live life. Having a philosophy that you should do as you wish, and then injecting your own morals into it is hypocritical.

I've cut corners every step of my life and I've never once regretted it.
