Fuck all, it's summer!

So, summer's finally kicked in here in Denmark, and it feels gooood. Ain't nothing better than sitting down with your mates with a cold sixpack, listening to the steaks on the grill and the birds above as they fly around in the sun. Or taking my dad's boat out for a day on the water and a bonfire on the beach at night. As some of you may know, I've had an attempt at settling the score with some demons I've been dwelling with, and while I haven't yet reached my goal, I'd say I'm making fair progress. This summer, however, seems like the first I've had for some years which I'm actually looking forward to, and so far it's been awesome. It's like a reward for the hard work I've been putting up for the past 3 or 4 months, and it really makes you feel like there's light at the end of the tunnel. I've gotten my much needed spirit back!

So tell me ladies, are you as stoked about summer as I am?

No, not really.

It's like, 110 degrees in Iraq during the summer. And as if that isn't enough, Marines have to wear about 80 pounds of gear plus a 10 pound assault rifle. If you don't keep constantly hydrated, you're dead.

So no... I must be the only person who hates summer right now, but I can't wait for winter.

My summer started June 3rd and ends in like a month. It's been fun, but I can't wait until Christmas break where I might fly up to NYC or some other actually cold city (I'm in Orlando where it's hot as hell 24/7 just about)

I hear ya. Last summer was - well I can't say the same - similar for me. I was rutting through some sort of depression during the winter and spring; summer time encouraged my spirit to revive.

Summer started in midjune for me, however due to failing Advanced functions I have to repeat for 2 weeks. I am 3 days away from getting out of Summer school and then I have driving school for another week

good to hear, echo!!1  anyways, i'm stoked for summer.  i moved to norway about a month ago and was traveling around europe a lil bit before then.  i'll be in europe until at least august 2010.  looking forward to making it permanent this time, but getting accepted to a nice uni in the states may change that...

oh, and remember that girlfriend i told you about yesterday?  found out today she is actually moldavian but speaks russian for first language.  it is weird how that info has managed to escape me for three weeks.  anyways, i've already started planning a trip to the terrorism and weapons capital of europe this august (moldova, duh) and have a lot of other cool things in store for me in the near future.  wooo, summer.

Unfortunately this summer will be forever remembered by me as the summer that the Beast died. The Beast has been with me for 7 years, I will never forget it's role in my life.

Oh also I'm looking forward to the rain at the end of the summer. It's been far too dry here and I don't like it dry.

I'm in the middle of winter, and it might not seem like much to some of you but getting out of bed in 6 degrees is really, REALLY screwing with my sanity right now.  I cant begin to stress my frustration as a non-morning person.

I guess my summer started one week ago. I was in Poland before that for over a week but I still had assignments I had to do. I don't have any plans other than going back to my place in the end of july and then come back to my parents place and be on the oldest sis' wedding.
