Either religion, or...

You are a machine built to seek pleasure. Try it.
^ This.

Choose your answer. Either way, you only have one life, so treasure it and enjoy yourself.

I mean. I just realized how pointless our lives are.

1. You born
2. You go to school to get work later
3. You will have a family
4. You will raise your kids
5. You will get old.
6. You will die.

1. You are born
2. You go to school to learn about society so that you can function in it
3. You may or may not have a family
4. You may or may not raise children that may or may not be yours
5. You get old
6. You die

Deal with it. Everybody is in the same waterlogged boat, even if some of them do believe they have wings.

Life is about fun and friends and love.... and most importantly about giving money to Jesus.

Again you try and fail at being some sort of intellectual at the expense of a religion. You have absolutely no understanding of any religion so you always end up looking like an idiot.

Care to elaborate? You appear to be offended by my faint witticism

I'm an intellectual regardless of religion, by the way.

life is about you and your choice to be who you really are.  That should be one of a million possibilities.  Herald and Maud might be the greatest movie for you. It was for me too, and shows that a young person can want to die and run into a person that changes all of that with her passion for life.

My point is already made. No elaboration needed.

Of course it is sweetheart.

Which of those things are you doing? Remind me.

O BOI DO I HAVE AN ANIME FOR YOU

Laughed out loud.  Too funny, man.

Anyway, Centurion, you'll go far once you stop trying to apply logic to life.  This could be with the big picture ("Why do anything? I'm just going to die anyway.") or on a smaller scale ("Why cut my hair? It's just going to grow out again."), but the absolute most important thing to keep logic out of is when dealing with other people.  Face it, as much as you'd like to believe otherwise, people are irrational, and that will never change.  Emotions don't make sense, but they're as real as anything else, and you'd better learn to live with them.

There are two ways to deal with your presently bleak outlook.  The first is to just say, "Screw it, as long as I'm here, I'm going to enjoy myself" and do whatever makes you happy.  The second is to find a religion in order to realize, "I'm here to do what God wants me to do; the rewards will exceed this transient thing we call life."

Either way, stop being emo and do something about it.

Only anime shows I've felt any interest in over the years are Pokemon (original TV series) and various hentai.
so clearly jgrp is a goddamn anime connoisseur. his opinion might as well be law here.
