Strange graphical problem. Please help!

I've had this game for at least 2 years and randomly one day something screwy happens with my background graphics. Basically I can see less than half of the background. I can only see the outside of the buildings. (so I just see lines everywhere instead of a solid building) and occasionally I'll hit invisible walls that I should be able to see when entering or leaving buildings. I can see most some bushes and shrubs too. This occurs in every level, even the basic ones you get right away. My computer isn't the best, but it does have a standard video card that can handle games like these.

If anyone has seen or heard of this I'd greatly appreciate it if you could help me out.

It'd also help if you gave us the exact model and brand of your video card. Make sure you've the latest drivers for that, too.

Dude, that is great. It seems like you need to reinstall soldat and you have only the texture edges.

It's not about missing textures. As far as I know, it has something to do with his GPU.

Dusty is correct; this is GPU related. Again, what is the exact model of your graphics card, Bushidoyoshi? Make absolutely certain that you are using the most recent drivers for it - messing around with some graphics related options in the Soldat config might be worth a go as well, e.g. dithering/AA, different color depths, etc. But your first bet should be to make sure that you have the absolutely latest drivers for your card.

This is not GPU-related: it can actually happen on any graphic card (i remember having this bug sometimes when i just started playing Soldat on Radeon 9600 and still it happens nowdays on Radeon 3870).

These screenshots also show that there is bug in edge rendering.

Took me 1 minute to reproduce:
1) Remove the textures from the textures folder
2) Turn on smooth render smooth polygons
3) Start playing.
You will get a message like "texture not found" though
